I still think, despite his social liberalism (after all he never could have been elected mayor in NYC if he wasn’t), Rudy would have been a much better President than McCain or Romney would have been.

Agreed. Rudy is a leader, and a fearless one at that. I would have loved to see him succeed in 2008. We would have made mince-meat of this pretender in the office now, and would not have run scared like the GOP has.

I’ll take him as governor over Andrew Cuomo anytime.

Rudy was the best choice in 2008. He would still make a great Secretary of State or Defense or AG.

He has courage and is not afraid to tell the truth.

Despite having a very good record in terms of fighting crime, protecting our country from foreign and domestic terrorists, and being a great patriot, conservatives will still sting up the man for his social views. Guiliani over Romney is a no-brainer, but hordes on FR would still bitch about it.

I agree. I don't there is any question of that. He's a leader.

Oh I’m convinced of that....I would have gladly voted for him....even in light of his not being a Reaganesque conservative. I’d vote for him in a heartbeat.

Sorry - abortion, homo marriage, and gun control are deal-breakers. Rudy supported these, plus he was also pro-amnesty.
