Jeff Sessions is usually right, and when the NYT opposes him, he's always right. As Bobby Jindal explained, it's will be Obama's decision to shut down the government because he wants to rewrite immigration law.

If the NY Times is writing an editorial it usually means the issue worries them.

Send Obama a budget that zeroes out funding for immigration executive orders, Obama care, increases military funding and funds the rest of the government. Let him decide if he will shut down the government. Hold his judicial and executive appointments up until he withdraws amnesty orders. Not a single judge or ambassador or anyone else approved until he withdraws. Stand firm and remember that we did not send you to DC to get along with Obama but to STOP him.

I’m sorry, but without the imminent threat of impeachment there is no brake on Obolas actions. Even if it wouldn’t succeed the actions surrounding it would cause enough pot stirring to temper his excesses. Why disregard it? This is the congress’ version of ,”No boots on the ground”.

He is planning much more serious mischief: using Congress’s power of the purse to pressure the White House into backing off.

Impeachment is the nuclear war of the Constitution. How is anything "more serious" than that?

Forcing the president to obey the law is “mischief” in the eyes of the Slimes. But breaking the law isn’t.

Bias? What bias?

Did Mr. Boehner learn nothing from the 16-day shutdown the House imposed on the country in October 2013?

What? That DemocRats would trounce Republicans in the 2014 elections?

The NYT makes no serious public, political, legal, or logical case here. All it has are strong words trying to make it sound ominous.

That means they know the smaller bill strategy and power of the purse will work.

IF the Republicans do it.

Governing made easy.

Whatever the NY Times editorial page is for or against, pursue the opposite.

.... That approach is an implicit and reckless threat to close down immigration agencies to prevent them from issuing work permits to immigrants.....

Or a constitutional threat to close down a tyrannical executive whose pen and phone need to be shoved down his throat.

What these Republicans in congress fail to recognize is that their is no other move.................

By allowing the Executive to break the law...... and TRUMP the Legislative Branch.....

Anything they do.... CAN BE TRUMPED!

Because the President, by Executive Order, will TRUMP that too........ Connect the dots!

If the Executive Branch is allowed to illegally break the law by Executive Action, then the Excutive branch can do that with ANYTHING..........

Here is the translation for the dumb Republicans in congress that still do not get it.....

The Executive Branch will TRUMP your “purse strings” too.... Duh!!

The Executive branch knows that by congress cowarding and doing ABSOULTLY NOTHING... they have basically become ceremonial at this point.

WHAT THEY PASS FROM HERE FORTH... DOES NOT MEAN JACK to the Excursive Branch.

At this point any signings by the Executive Brach,,,,,is simply to make these gutless collaborators feel like they are still relevant.

Congratulations Republicans in Congress. You have turned the U.S. Constitution on it's head. And THAT.... is the way you will be remembered for in history.

Still, he has decided not to anger the most extreme wing of his party, which is agitating for obstruction.

Uh! That would be us....funny when republicans win elections the liberals always say they won so they could enact "liberal policies" . As far as shutting the government down.. I subscribe to the Ted Cruz answer to that. Two years after shutting the government down republicans won a monumental election that boosted their numbers in virtually every category...we could stand some more so called disasters that get those kind of results!!!

The Leftist NYT is simply crying hysterically because if the GOP runs Sessions’ blockade of illegal alien amnesty funding month by month, the Left can’t whip up a monthly frenzy over the Ultimate Threat to the Nation, a government shut down.

Of course, there is no such threat, with Ted Cruz’s government shutdown last December resulting in the Republican’s landslide election this November. No one believes the Obamedia tripe, but they are still trying.

Constitution amendment needed? We need a Constitution amendment to stop presidents like Obama from abusing the power of executive action. Something like this:

"A simple majority of votes of both the Senate and the House can overturn an executive order."

In a speech last Friday at The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, Sen. Sessions is quoted by The Hill as stating:
“No, we are not going to impeach or have a move to impeach. The president has certain powers. We truly believe, and I think it's accurate to say he abused those powers.”
Well, of course the Senate is not going to impeach Traitorobama, because that is a Constitutional responsibility of the House. And if Sessions is speaking on behalf of all Republicans in the House, that seems to be somewhat presumptuous of the Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee. Sessions is also quoted as saying:
“I can’t recall such a massive alteration of the classical understanding of what laws mean in America being wiped out.

“He [Obama] undermined, in my view, the moral integrity of immigration law and basically even the constitutional separation of powers.”

If Sessions really made these statements, then for him to suggest the House Republicans will not impeach Traitorobama is for him in effect to suggest that House Republicans will gang rape the oath each of them made to support and defend the Constitution against a traitor who has committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

Kinda odd....addressing correctly at first, Senator Sessions....then reverting to “Mr Sessions”?

For a mature newspaper....supposedly recognized around the US....it’s an odd mistake. They have folks hired to proof-read everything they print, and it actually made it past them? I don’t buy it.

It was a slanted piece of journalism. Nothing new....but it’s obvious....they’ve gone from some respected journalist operation to some high-school paper standard.
