I noticed today that the local Walmart had added more self-checkout lanes.
Ours, which happened to be the first "Super Wally" in Kalifornia, took out all their self-checkout lanes quite a few years ago....due to thievage.
The Costco I go to took their self-checkout lanes out a couple of years ago. And even stores like Home Depot who have them also have one or two people keeping an eye on the people using it.
