Republicans dismiss impeachment, say it would ‘martyr’ Obama

Unsuccessful attempt could undermine GOP efforts to reverse amnesty order

Capitol Hill Republicans have furiously denounced President Obama’s executive action on immigration as illegal, unconstitutional and an abuse of the power of his office — but they get skittish when the talk turns to impeachment.

Even Rep. Steve King, one of the most fiery opponents of the president’s “executive amnesty” for illegal immigrants, backed away from his previous calls for impeachment.

“I don’t want to do the ‘I’ word. Nobody wants to throw the nation into that kind of turmoil,” the Iowa Republican told CNN immediately following Mr. Obama’s executive action.

This is not just another "option" for politicians to consider. Impeachment is the Constitutional solution for the outrages 0bama is doing.

The feckless GOP-e wants nothing to do with it because they are too cowardly to do what the Constitution requires.

Man up, you craven yellow-bellied duds and grow a pair...

I agree with this opinion. I prefer the “no appointments of any kind approved until Obama rescinds unlawful executive orders.”

You like beating your head against the wall don’t you? They will always vote for the freebies and nothing we say will convince them otherwise that we are responsible for their misery.

Many brave politicians followed the Constitution and impeached b.j. clinton.

Fast forward to 2013 and the democrat convention, where b.j. clinton was received as a victorious hero by the cheering masses.

Impeaching zero will result in the same scenario. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

You would think the republicans would realize we gave them a mandate to stop that prick but I am afraid they are pricks themselves and the pricks stick together.

IOW, none of the investiqations about Fast & Furious, Benqhazi, IRS-qate, NSA-qate, anythinq Arpaio and Zullo would have otherwise exposed, etc..... will ever be truly investiqated, because politics is all that matters, and the media would make heroes out of the people who are systematically destroyinq the country as they have planned and worked their whole life lonq with their allies to do.

If they really believe the treasonous media is that powerful, then why don’t they all just quit and save the taxpayers the money - just let abcnbscbscnn run the world? That’s what this is really about. It’s about whether a TREASONOUS MEDIA is allowed to destroy this nation uncontested.

Just remember what happened to Clinton after he played the victim after he got impeached. It isn’t worth the political capital!

I hope they have the stones to man up and back him down to the basement level he so justly deserves!

I believe the initial reports of Obama’s snooping on Congresscxritters was the smoking gun - he collected dirt on our congresscritters and imobilized them = they will do what ever he wants and make it sound like it’s in our best interests.

>>> The House holds funding Constitutionally within their power. Backed by the Senate, they could hold him eventually motionless.

Obama will take us into WW3... congress gonna withhold funding for that too?

They’re short of the 67 votes in the US Senate.

Do you think they would be after the newly elected are sworn in? I don’t know, so I’m curious. Surely at this point a Democrat or two would vote to impeach?

He’s basically ruined right now, the country isn’t quite yet done.

Set up a situation where his handmaidens in the media can dust of that pedestal and put him back up there and we will never be done with the legendary Barack Hussein Obama.

Let his reputation crash on the website of Obamacare and burn in the fires of Ferguson.

I KNOW it’s going to be a long two years, I get that. But, impeachment will fail, he’ll stay in office, only now with a crown of thorns to put the shine back on his phony halo.

DO NOT DO THIS.

It’s been tried twice and didn’t work either time. There’s no way it would work now, and the backfire would ruin every gain we’ve made during the past four years.

Let’s just run somebody who’s a better candidate that Romney next time, because if we’d done that in ‘12 we’d be rid of the nincompoop by now.

This is just the GOPe regretting winning the last election.

The best way to correct the problem is to NOT impeach Obingo, so that they can go back to the minority they love.

That’s a qreat plan. But they’ll never do that either, and for the same reason as they won’t impeach: because the media will write a political narrative that presents the “obstructionists” badly to the votinq public which is too stupid to allow a free America to continue to exist.

It’s all really a question of whether the people who AREN’T too stupid to keep a republic will ever offer up a fiqht aqainst those vast media-hypnotized masses who cannot either deserve or keep a republic.

The enemy we are fiqhtinq here is a treasonous media and a public too stupid to see the media for what it is. If that is what America is, then she can’t be saved by ANY plan or method, whether it be impeachment, election of a conservative POTUS, defundinq, or anythinq else.

And lookinq at the Ferquson stuff and how the media qets away with its lies, it looks like we have a real battle on our hands. The St Louis Rams need to be PUMMELED for stupidly believinq a lie that’s already been debunked by evidence. And the same thinq with ANYBODY who keeps usinq the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” marketinq ploy - documentably FALSE ADVERTISINQ based on the lie of Brown’s accomplice in stronq-arm robbery, druqs, etc.

There has to be a way to put the lyinq media out of business once and for all.

Martyring him would be better than what he’ll do to America if he finishes his term.
