'Hands up' gesture by St. Louis Rams NFL players riles police group
American Thinker ^ | 12/01/2014 | Rick Moran

Five St. Louis Rams football players came on to the field for the pre-game introductions with their hands raised in the familiar "hands up, don't shoot" pose of protestors demonstrating the decision of the Ferguson grand jury in the Michael Brown shooting case.

The political statement has been condemned by the St. Louis Polcie Officers Association, who expressed their displeasure with the Rams organization and demanded the players be sanctioned.

The statement deserves to be published in its entirety:

From KDSK:

"Five members of the Rams entered the field today exhibiting the "hands-up-don't-shoot" pose that has been adopted by protestors who accused Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson of murdering Michael Brown. The gesture has become synonymous with assertions that Michael Brown was innocent of any wrongdoing and attempting to surrender peacefully when Wilson, according to some now-discredited witnesses, gunned him down in cold blood."

No professional sports team need players that display thug antics. Terminate their contract.

I don't GET why (if you object) you would STILL continue to purchase tickets to their games.

WE also hold the power of the purse... and it's time the people who have such a free hand to insult us and defy the law should SEE that it comes at a price.

It's the same with the purchase of movie tickets and all the BS media products that come out of Hollywood.

DON'T BUY the tickets...PERIOD!!

They should be sidelined indefinitely. Their venue was completely inappropriate to mock the U.S. justice system.

Next time there is trouble at the stadium, the police should stay away. Let these players take care of it.

It’s what they want to believe that matters to them, not what actually happened.

These players must think the American people were born yesterday?

What's next?

NFL jerks are going to tell us when Michael Brown was confronted by the shop clerk he fell to his knees and begged forgiveness for being a common thief and thug?

Yeah right. That's a believable as the bull about Brown's hands in the air.

Sorry NFL fools - real life ain't the movies - and the Brown thug isn't Kunta Kinte.

These players think the American people were born yesterday. Shame on them.

They support criminal behavior. Which is why I don’t spend a dime on professional sports.

Whether it is killing people on the highway after drinking at a strip bar or snorting coke with prostitutes in a hotel room or showing support for a thug that beat up a liquor store clerk and then tried to beat up a cop, there is nothing good I can see in these people.

“I don’t GET why (if you object) you would STILL continue to purchase tickets to their games.”

Frankly I don’t understand how any Constitutional Conservative could in any way support the NFL. That organization has been crapping all over us for years, and yet so many of us continue to buy their tickets, watch their games and patronize their sponsors.

These players need to be challenged to explain why they are supporting a LIE. Make them go on camera and explain themselves.

I expect the SYCHOPHANTIC sports reporters to instead fight over who gets the first whiff of one of their sweaty jock straps.

Given the outcome of yesterday’s game, it’s the Raiders who should have taken that pose.
