An Indian student who travelled to Iraq to join the Islamic State group has returned home disillusioned after jihadists made him clean toilets and do other menial jobs, according to media reports.
Areeb Majeed, 23, left for Iraq with three friends in late May amid fears by authorities that IS militants were attempting to recruit from India's large pool of young Muslim men.
Majeed told NIA officers he was sidelined by the jihadists for whom he fetched water and performed other lowly tasks such as cleaning toilets, instead of taking part in the deadly offensive like he wanted, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.

The Indian’s have a caste of people who are assigned to do these sort of tasks. Maybe, they were assigning him his caste duty.

I worked in Kuwait before the Gulf War. The computer operator was a Pakistani girl who wanted to know ALL about America, and we got along fine. One day she mentioned that she saw an Indian man, who worked the grounds around her dad's house, weeping. She asked him why and he replied that he had a Masters in Physics and was told that if he signed on for two years in Kuwait, he would make big money. When he landed there, they gave him only menial jobs like gardening.
I don't know why he is complaining. (Warning, not for the squeamish) how it is done in India. (public area).
It's no wonder people kiss the tarmac when they land back in the States.
More surprised they have toilets.

In a documentary broadcast August 27th on the Kurdish station STERK TV, captured “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant” (ISIL) elements say the group has been raping men in a ceremony it describes as “marriage” and recording this to use as blackmail and force them to join.
ISIL uses rape, including gang rape, as a tactic of fear to intimidate populations it seeks to control, according to an August 28th report by the Firat News Agency, a Kurdish agency based in Amsterdam. (snip)

Muslims don’t have caste and certainly not the toilet-cleaning castes. Most Muslims are product of rapes rather than conversion, so very little (traditional) caste influences in their culture even in the Hindu cow-belt.
