Chris Rock tells white people to own the actions of their ancestors

Chris Rock explained in a lengthy interview Sunday that he believes part of healing racial relations in America is by white people “owning” the actions of their ancestors.

The black comedian told New York magazine’s Frank Rich that racial progress in America is “nonsense” and that the only thing that’s changed is white people aren’t as crazy as they used to be. “When we talk about race relations in America or racial progress, it’s all nonsense,” Mr. Rock said. “There are no race relations. White people were crazy. Now they’re not as crazy. To say that black people have made progress would be to say they deserve what happened to them before.”

Mr. Rich asked the comedian if white people are “adjusting to a new reality?”

“Owning their actions. Not even their actions. The actions of your dad,” Mr. Rock said. “Yeah, it’s unfair that you can get judged by something you didn’t do, but it’s also unfair that you can inherit money that you didn’t work for.”

When asked for his thoughts on President Obama, Mr. Rock said, “Everybody wanted Michael Jordan, right? We got Shaq.”

The history of human kind is one of slavery, bloodshed & all kinds of horror, perpetrated by every race. Is Chris Rock going to own HIS race’s evil deeds?

I am not responsible for anything I have not done personally. The same goes for everyone else.

Blacks, Africans,Negroes have been holding their Fellow Man in Slavery since the beginning of recorded history, and continue to do so TODAY(1400 years worth). It is ONLY the White Man that abolished it.

He thinks that if there wasn’t a market for black slaves in America, the black slavers wouldn’t have sold them. So it is whitey’s fault anyway.

Obama's Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa (Kenya) for centuries until the British ended it.

When is Obama going to "own" [get the pun?] the actions of his slave-owning ancestors?

Well my grandparents immigrated from Poland in the 1920’s, so does that mean I need to research Polish history to see if there is anybody in eastern Europe I should apologize too?

My ancestors didn’t own slaves. They were either mercenary soldiers or highway men, however.

My ancestors in Poland did nothing to his people. What did his ancestors do to his own people?

I didn’t receive one iota from my father other than some books, a few coins and a .22 long rifle. Really Chris have bought into the same BS that the racebaiters are selling? Stick to acting. Politics will ruin an actor’s career. There are plenty in Hollywood who can prove it. Look at how much Clooney, Affleck, and Damon have cost them at the box office by failing to shut their mouths.

Well, thanks to Dave Ramsey, I have my “emergency fund” well underway. I’ll tap into it and purchase one airline ticket to any country to Africa for one of Holder’s people. Anyone else want to join me in this kickstarter endeavor? I think we should repatriate these poor soul’s with their motherland. It’s only white of ya’ to do so.

To say that black people have made progress would be to say they deserve what happened to them before.”

Can someone explain this statement? Does this dude have any logical thought processes in his head? I’m struggling to understand what he means. Black people have made great progress, but he’s saying we can’t say that because that implies that they deserved what happened before??? How does this make any sense??? Yet this dude has a platform to speak and liberal media will carry his commentary.
