Several Black Witnesses Largely Back Up Officer's Account Of Michael Brown Shooting
Hufington Post ^ | October 22, 2014 | Ryan J. Reilly

Over a half-dozen black witnesses who have testified before a grand jury deciding whether to indict the police officer who killed Michael Brown have provided testimony that "largely supports" Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson’s account of events, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

Sources told The Washington Post that seven or eight black witnesses gave testimony before the grand jury that was "consistent" with Wilson's account, but that none have spoken out publicly about what they witnessed because they fear for their safety.

Many of the witnesses to Brown's death who have come forward have told the same basic story about Brown's final moments, saying that Brown was attempting to surrender and had his hands in the air when the officer fired the fatal shots. But there have been a string of recent leaks of information that backs up Wilson's account of the confrontation.

The New York Times reported that forensic evidence showed that Brown's blood was on the gun and that other evidence was consistent with Wilson's account of the shooting, and The St. Louis Post-Dispatch obtained an autopsy of Brown that also indicates he may have struggled with the officer for control of his weapon while the officer was still in the vehicle.

One way or another, Micheal Brown was going to dead that day.

If Wilson hadn’t gotten into the mix....Brown could have faced the grocery owner waving a gun at him, and shooting him as Brown rushed him. Or, if Wilson hadn’t come down the road....some team would have alerted on the robbery event and eventually ID’ed Brown as the guy responsible and gone to his house in the afternoon to confront him....with the kid charging them and causing them to shoot him.

It was the end to a turbulent life, which featured prominent use of high-grade marijuana to such a level....that he probably didn’t know what he was doing.

Old news that the mainstream media should have been reporting since day #1.

But in the mainstream media's effort to support the lies of Team Obama, it was ignored.

and if he didn't die that day, there would have come a day when he would have killed somebody during another crime... i believe that... that is why his demise does not tug at my heart one bit...

Had he not been killed by a gangbanger, a shopkeeper, or police...he ultimately would have had a fatal cardiac episode before reaching 25 y.o.
This unrepentant thug had one-foot-in-the-grave for several years. He likely just did not know it.

I'm not sure what "many" consists of, but I understand that "many" of the witnesses to the "hands in the air" moment recanted in front of the grand jury, most saying that they did not actually see the moment, but were just relating what they had heard from others. And, it fit the "progressive" narrative.

The more reliable, believable witnesses, backed up Wilson's testimony and the forensic evidence. Had it been otherwise, I expect that an indictment would have been forthcoming.

AKA “Unarmed teen Michael ‘Gentle Giant’ Brown”

The MSM can blow smoke all day, and they do.
But black gangsta thug culture killed Brown.
The cop was just in the way. Straight up.

Too late, the media likes the unarmed teen shot by cop headline too much to change it to teen dies fighting with cop which is the factual headline.

Experience in cases such as this - the politicians will pressure anyone they can to get the desired results they want...they care not about policy & procedure - rule of law - or truth! They had rather destroy decent people and their lives, profession, and the sacrifice to get where that person got in life than concede to the fact that one (BROWN) of their own did something totally screwed up and they died...the LEFT doesn’t care about Brown - they care about using BROWN for their agenda.

Browns death stopped victims from being produced!

If his mommy loved her baby as she claims...she would have not raised him to be a self-serving welfare junkie holding his hand out for free stuff - and when free stuff wasn’t thrown in his face - he went out and took it — this is what happens when people feed the animals - they forget to act decent and lives are ruined!

“If his mommy loved her baby as she claims...”

From what I’ve read in the grand jury report, and inferred from what the media does and does not report, Michael Brown’s parents weren’t very involved in his life. At the time of the incident he was living in an apartment. Prior to living in the apartment, he was living with his grandmother who was apparently trying to instill some self discipline in him. Dorian Johnson, who was with Brown at the time of the encounter with Officer Wilson, testified to the grand jury Brown had recently moved out from his grandmother’s apartment because her rules were too strict.

A tragic dimension of this case, not reported by the mainstream press, is in the minutes after the incident Brown’s grandmother assisted the officers in keeping members of the community from intruding on the scene.

From the information in the grand jury report it can be inferred Brown’s grandmother took over the raising of Brown when the stepfather returned to Brown’s mother’s house from prison. It appears the grandmother tried to turn around a teen who had been neglected and raised with little supervision and little love. She may have been the only real positive guiding influence in his life.

One can only imagine the sorrow and pain she felt seeing her grandson lying dead in the street. Whatever her feelings, she went to the aid of the police who had just killed the boy. Unlike the parents she has not been parading in front of the media nor for some reason does the media wish to tell her story.
