Rubio lied to us. No sale.

His gutless ploy over amnesty notwithstanding, I wouldn’t vote for the guy just because I can’t take another five minutes of his yakety-yakety-yak.

Sounds like a TV salvationist, a gypsy car salesman and a lonely woman on diet pills all rolled into one.

because nothing says america like electing a cuban to be president

both his mother and father were cuban citizens when he was born. his only claim to US citizenship was being born on the soil. this makes him a US citizen but also a cuban citizen. this is the exact situation the founders introduced the phrase to prevent. they wanted to insure that the occupant would not have split loyalties, at least by birth.

this is also the reason 0bama was not eligible for the office... and people neglected to uphold the Constitution. how’d that work out?

remember:
a natural born citizen is a citizen naturally... as there are no alternatives

I don’t even call them RINOs anymore because they have gone so far left. They’re more like “Democrats B”. We have the Demcrap A party and the Democrap B party. The Democrap Bs support the Democrap A party and sometimes make pretend they are against them to fool people into thinking we have a two party political system in this country when we don’t. Everything is run by one party. If we truly had a oppositional party to the Democraps, right now that party would be doing everything they could to remove the worst POTUS in US history and bring him up on charges of treason. Instead we have a POTUS that commits one blatant act of treason after another and nobody does anything because it’s all the same party.

There are no perfect candidates. Every single one of them is flawed. It’s always that way. They — and we — are humans, each with our frailties and opinions.

I’ll vote for the one who comes up with the ball.

Anybody but another liberal Dem.

It is not possible for him to back away from it because from the very beginning of his political career he pushed open borders when talking to Spanish speaking audiences like La Raza, and a more moderate position when talking to everyone one else. All this is on video and YouTube links have been posted at this site since his first campaign.

It was always the case that he was a proven liar.

Now it is clear who he was lying to.

Rubio isn’t even acting like he’s running. Which candidates are really acting like they are running?

Cruz
Perry
Paul
Bush
Huckabee
Romney
Christie

My acceptable list is:

Cruz
Perry

My reluctant list

Paul
Jeb

My drag me and gag me list:

Huck
Christie

My “if you’re stupid enough to do this again, then you can do it without me” list

Mitt

” . . . to injure one of our own and to do it needlessly. . .”

That’s what we do here. It’s the kind of thinking that put Pelosi and Reid in power.

I hope that suicidal attitude won’t prevail in the wider electorate. My prayer is that good Americans unite behind a candidate of character to oust the far-left and start repairing the harm they’ve done.

Wow, #1 is way off. The reason Rubio polls so low is because much of the Tea Party is disappointed in him. He turned out to be a RINO suck up when it came to immigration, and even allowed himself to be manipulated by McConnell. We need someone wiser, and less hell bent on ‘immigration reform’.

” Actually if the GOP simply increases it’s “non-Hispanic white” vote by a few percent it wipes out the current Hispanic margin.”

EXACTLY.

Rubio sold his soul to the establishment in less than 6 months in DC. He needs to be dumped for reelection, not elevated for treachery and deceit.

Yup. It's a scam: trick the gringos into voting for you by saying what they wanna hear.

Once elected, hey, I'm a Big Man, look at me!

People need to understand the culture that made Latin America the nightmare that it is....

They ALL aspire to be El Caudillo

Rubio is not a naïve person, just naïve to the ways of the dems

Not just the dems. The DC establishment. Schummer and McCain both played Rubio in their lust to provide cheap labor for their paymasters. I thought Rubio went into it thinking he'd be able to broker a real solution. It was naive to think the pro-invasion crowd wants a solution that's good for most US citizens.

I wish Rubio could come out with a passionate, sensible speech about why now is not the time to legalize non-citizens and why US jobs should go to US citizens. Rubio's been a reliable and articulate constitutional conservative since that unfortunate debacle. I'm willing to see how he works with the constitutional conservatives who just won US Senate seats. We shouldn't dismiss his potential.
