Four potential Republican challengers who worry Hillary
The Hill ^ | December 4, 2014 | Amie Parnes

Hillary Clinton allies are focusing on four potential Republican challengers for the White House: Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Chris Christie and Scott Walker.

Clinton World believes Paul has run the best “pre-campaign” of the group. And the fact that the Republican senator from Kentucky has worked to attract Republicans and Democrats to his cause has made him someone to watch.

Yet, time and again, Bush is the top name to roll off everyone’s tongue.

This is getting comical, they put in one legitimate person she SHOULD be worried about to make the rest believable then try to put Rand Paul at the top of the list as the most worrisome to them.

Amazing just how desperate the Clinton Machine is getting.

Texas, IMHO, is a template for modern, practical American conservatism that works when put into practice. The state...

1) Has no state income tax.
2) Is right to work.
3) Is pro-business
4) Has meaningful tort reform
5) Has drill baby drill
6) Has a part time state legislature and limited state government.
7) Is securing its borders as the Federal Government won’t.
8) Actually uses its death penalty
9) Is strongly pro-Second Amendment
10) Is strongly pro-life.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But I do believe Gov. Perry supports all of the above policies and principles.

  1. Jeb-- As bad as Romney.
  2. Rand Paul-- I could hold my nose and vote for him.
  3. Christie -- worse than Romney.
  4. Scott Walker-- only great pick of the bunch.

Texas may be pro 2nd, but our laws are not. And the governor has nothing to do with either.

Perry wanted the trans-Texas corridor, owned by a Spanish company.

Perry is for in-state tuition for illegals.

Perry supported forcing teen girls to get immunization for an STD.

Perry supported Dewhurst for Senate and Governor. Dewhurst was the GOP-E favorite that lost badly to Cruz and Abbott.

The Texas governor is so weak that he can't pardon criminals without permission, so don't think Perry had much to do with the good things Texas has done. He didn't. He's a GOP-E good-ole-boy that Rove recruited from the Gore campaign.

I will never vote for that big-government liberal.

+++++
My ONLY reason I would have with Perry is during a debate he would try to state all the policies he supports and could only remember two.

That might all be true.

But I live in CA. Stuck with Moonbeam, Boxer, Feinstein, Pelousy, Maxine FOR YEARS.

Perhaps I’m going stir crazy....but Perry still looks awfully good from where I sit!

I think we shouldn’t discount the possibility that one Sarah Palin could announce a candidacy probably by late Winter 2015. And she has the potential to rip Hillary Clinton to shreds, especially on the age issue (Palin will be 52 in 2016 and Hillary will be 69 just one month before Election Day 2016).

If Perry had decided to run again for Governor, I would have been working against him.

He's not a conservative.

And he's a very weak governor, per the Texas Constitution.

He deserves NO credit for the good things Texas has done.

With Abbott in charge, we might get Constitutional carry.

PIAPS isn't going to come within a mile of the RAT nomination, as anyone not within the media Reality Distortion Field can see.

She's a horrible candidate, looks like a hag to boot, and has accomplished less in her life than BHO had when he was elected (and that's damn hard).

My money's on Fauxcahontas, and unlike many here, I think she has a very good shot at the big wigwam on Pennsylvania Avenue. If she falters, Jerry Brown is on deck.

Hillary is finished, she just hasn't fallen over yet.

They are correct, if Rand/Ron Paul chooses Al Sharpton as his running mate, that would be a big threat to Hitlery.

with the horses they have in their stable, the Democrats could lose forty states

Agree completely about Hillary! She is a simulated candidate, not a real one.

I think you underestimate the danger of Princess Lieawatha, however.

If she's prepared to attack the money center banks and the entire system of debt as money, there's a very good chance she will be the next resident of the White Teepee.

Cruz is going to face the objection that the US Senate does not adequately prepare one to be POTUS. I think this will be especially potent once Obama is done collapsing. Walker as a two-term Governor would be much more able to close the deal on executive experience.

And to slam Hillary for the same.

I've been saying that for a year - not that he's going to "face the objection", I've been actually MAKING the objection.

Three sitting US Senators have been elected President - Harding, JFK, and "Obama". You can throw in HST if you like. I make the case that that's 0 for 3, and that there are reasons for that, including that administration of a political campaign and making a good speech do not constitute qualifications to administer the monstrosity that the Executive Branch has become.

However, if you breathe that around here, better put on your flame suit.
