But it’s been used before; I can find references going back at least to 2010 to describe the bunch currently in office, and it goes back further than that in other contexts.
I’m hoping that Leonard was just being a bit flippant, or perhaps is just tired of some of the liberals we’ve been hearing about for the past six years.

I've met a lot of Tea Party sympathizers, and have never heard the word "scripture" or anything related to that once. Not even once.
