Climate Change Could be Keeping the Baltic Sea Starved for Oxygen
Nature World News ^ | December 4, 2014 | By Brian Stallard

The Baltic Sea is certainly not the only part of the world still suffering from when humanity didn't understand the consequences of its actions. However, compared to other parts of the world, it may be one of the most stark examples of how climate change can just perpetuate these problems.

That's because the Baltic Sea is home to the Boknis Eck time series station. Based just off the coast of Schlong-Holstein at the exit of Peckernförde Bay, this station has been recording environmental parameters concerning the Baltic Sea since 1957, painting a particularly detailed picture of how human and natural factors have been changing the sea around it.

So what's going on? The researcher suggest climate change is to blame, where warming waters and changing trade winds are mitigating efforts to help the Baltic Sea recover.

And on a “could be”,

we’re supposed to reduce our lifestyle to about 1/3 to 1/10 of what we enjoy today,

and “today” is greatly reduced (in my personal experience) from what we enjoyed 5-6 years ago.

Large bodies of water produce oxygen based on their intake of CO2. Low oxy means low CO2 in the environment.

"We see more and more events at Boknis Eck when no oxygen is measured below 20 meters depth."

Because ... you know ... the oxygen that isn't there? Well, it's being consumed ... by the tremendous number of microorganisms ... which feed on the oxygen ... which isn't there.

Anyway ... if the water were colder ... there would be more oxygen ... because ... science.

Climate change advocates could cause global nuclear war!!!!! That means a localized significant rise in the Earth's surface temperature to unsustainable levels.

As a preventative measure all such enviro-tyrants should be given a precautionary lobotomy to save the planet before it is too late.

Climate change is also moving all the furniture in my house around just a little every time I leave the house.

Climate change is using the banned choke hold on the Baltic sea.

[[and “today” is greatly reduced (in my personal experience) from what we enjoyed 5-6 years ago.]]

No, not on a could be- on a lie=- period- 0.04% of our atmosphere (the total amount of CO2 in our atmosphere) can not possibly be causing climate change- and yet world leaders are going ahead full steam with this colossal lie= and you are right, our lifestyles have already been severely reduced concerning doing what we want- years ago I thought nothing of going for rides, drives across states etc- because gasoline prices were so low- yet today everything has nearly doubled in price from what it was just 6 short years ago and I have to budget like a son of a gun and day trips for photography are now off limits to me as I simply can’t afford it any longer-

You too? My hutch is now clear across the room from where I originally put it- and my tv seems much closer to the door these days, causing a neck ache when I try to watch it now- I always sus[pected something was going on- gotta be climate change to blame

You look at the actual article, it blames something DIFFERENT.

The data from this station also follows how the Baltic Sea slowly began to lose oxygen (hypoxia) near its sea floor thanks to the large-scale dumping of agricultural fertilizers and sewage into the sea.

Water pollution may be a problem there, but alleged and/or real global warming didn’t do it.

The reason that the warship “Vasa” did not decompose is because there are no ship worms in the Baltic to eat the wood. This is because they live in low oxygen/very salty water

The lack of oxygen in the water there is a phenomenon that is well known for decades. The reason is that the Baltic is a sort of sack where water goes in from the Atlantic but can’t get out. It is saltier than the Atlantic too for the same reason

Yup- and you know- they keep trotting out these figures like ‘the arctic sea ice has receeded by such and such a number’ and ‘the average sea temperatures have increased by 1/2 a degree over the last decade’- and ‘the average temperature across the globe rose by .01% last month’ yet who the hell is going to verify ANY of the numbers they trot out? They could be pulling these figures out their butts for all we know, and no one is going to contradict them because they don’t have funds nor the people to check up on numbers that these liars are claiming

Which also makes it a bad choice as a sewage dump... I could see piping that stuff out to the open ocean.
