U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki was seemingly caught on a hot mic calling one of her prepared statements on one of Americas policies on Egypt ridiculous following a press conference.
When reporters, including the Associated Press Matt Lee, pressed her to comment on the acquittal of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, she provided a pre-written response.
Generally, we continue to believe that upholding impartial standards of accountability will advance the political consensus on which Egypts long-term stability and economic growth depends, she said. But beyond that, I would refer you to the Egyptian government.
She refused to say anything further on the matter.
Lee criticized the explanation, telling the spokesperson that her answer means nothing.
Its like saying, well we support the right of people to breathe. Thats great, but if you cant breathe Lee added.
Psaki ended the conference and the lights dimmed. When she seemingly figured her mic was dead, she went off script.
That Egypt line is ridiculous, she appears to say.

Psackapshit
Laz.... a line!? LOL!!!
Pshe’s a pshithead!
The only lines I had were the ones I snorted, back in the day.
Egypt? E’gyped who? Or is it whom?
I agree. Nothing this admin does is accidental.
I hear that!....And we wuz ‘Peakin’ Thru The Blinds’!! (THEY are OUT there....I KNOW they are OUT there!!....just a little tootski flashback paranoia there!)
Jeebus, that was the worst part. Especially when I started smoking that crap. OMG, it was like every time I did one, the cops all had this big radar that would PING BRIGHT if you did a hit, and they were just zeroing in on all the ping marks. LOL
So glad those days are over.
Well at least he told her that her answer means nothing. If you listen to most of them the majority of their answers mean nothing....just words strung together.
Is every spokesperson for the Obama state department an 18-year-old girl on spring break? No wonder other countries don’t take us seriously.
Red & Goldielocks...indeed, the world is laughing. So sad.
Children. There are children running the executive branch.
Folks, this is a far far cry from Bush 43.
I know we really really like to put the Democrats and Republicans together as an amalgam of “establishment” elites. And to some extent, it is true.
But there IS a difference between the two parties—and this is a prime example thereof.
Seriously. I don’t care what kind of degrees this girl has, she is a kid who has NO business speaking for the foreign policy arm of our federal government. But then again, look at her bosses—Lurch and Obamugabe—two of the worst to ever presume power in Foggy Bottom or the Oval Office.
