Some of the Navy's first female submariners were secretly videotaped while undressing and showering on board the USS Wyoming, a ballistic missile submarine, service officials confirmed Wednesday.
Navy officials are investigating a 24-year old male sailor who is accused of making and distributing the videos, according to a Nov. 14 incident report circulated among the service's senior leaders, according to Navy Times, which first reported the story.
The male sailor has only been identified as a second class petty officer, according to Navy Times.

Subs are a Disneyland for life-threatening failures. The crew have to have absolute trust in each other for that reason. This ignorant sailor violated that and will probably receive punishment far too harsh for the nature of the offense.
Simply kick him out of the sub force and take his dolphins publicly.

Unisex facilities. They put a sign up on the bulkhead when women are using it.
Also, this is an Ohio Class SSBN. Knew a guy a once who served on one (Henry Jackson, iirc) who said that the nuke plant could make more water than they’d ever use. Would imagine this permits longer showers.
90 seconds? Pure luxury. Mine was 30 and 1 second over earned a shift on evaporator watch.
Really....young guys, locked up in a tin can for months at a time, introduce some women....and you don’t think bad things will happen?

I made the water....I took as long a shower as I wanted. No one complained.
I went to sea on a destroyer, and on my ship a 90 second shower would have been a luxury. It took about 5 seconds to get wet, about 20 seconds, with the water off, to soap and shampoo, and 10, maybe 15 seconds to rinse.
On the other hand, I knew at least two guys who sailed on nuclear boats, and for them, water was never an issue...never. At least one of them was on a Trident, perhaps both, although I think the second was on a fast attack submarine.
Having women on my ship would have been cozy, although privacy would have been an adventure.
