Perhaps someone risked profiling by seeing a recent arrival from Saudia Arabia who married a U.S. citizen in Cairo in 2007 and took steps to become an American citizen and got a security clearance in August as a risk.

No joke, we’ve got more than they do. My dad told me in 1997 (when he was working for Chevron) that we’re hitting oil and natural gas pockets here in CONUS, Alaska, and the Gulf of Mexico that make Saudi’s reserves look like diddly crap. He was right but the EPA and enviralists in the govt. are doing everything they can to blunt it and slow-roll it.
Saudi money is funding a lot of those lobbying efforts, and those Matt Damon anti-fracking movies.

It’s gripes my a$$ how we gave Saudi our finest F-15s (not finest any more, but still AWESOME) and AWACS jets. The F-15 has classified electronic systems, you know that got handed to every communist scumbag around. The AWACS is a billion dollar platform that is packed full of top secret electronics, and we just gave it to them (and you know the Chinese & Russians had it 5 minutes after they did).

We no longer get as much of our oil from them as we used to. We get a whole lot more from Canada than we get from Saudi Arabia, a lot of the change, was as related to the oil crisis we had when Saudi Arabia’s crisis cut us off from their oil during the 1970s.

Well, maybe... but really they should have been machine gunned long before getting close enough. Cole did not have anywhere near deck guards or manned boarder repelling crew— which should be on any of our ships in a foreign port.

Yes it should have been blasted by a Gunner. Several things were wrong. That and the fact it was two days out from help and in earlier times would have fueled at sea either via a USNS Oiler or a larger USN ship close by. We refueled many a smaller ship at sea.
As far as I know, the son is already out. Whitworth is still in the big house.
