Dianne Feinstein leaving intelligence job amid clash on tactics report
Los Angeles Times ^ | 12/7/14 | Brian Bennett

Posted on 12/07/2014 8:53:13 AM PST by Nachum

As head of the Senate Intelligence Committee since 2009, Sen. Dianne Feinstein has spent hundreds of hours in secret briefings and seen thousands of pictures from battlefields in Syria, Iraq and Yemen. She keeps two images with her.

One shows a little girl wearing a gingham dress, white tights and black Mary Janes — but the girl's head is gone. Another is of a teenage boy, duct tape over his mouth, eyes bulging out, being forced to hold two severed heads.

"To me, it's what we are up against," Feinstein said in an interview. "It is a testament to pure evil."

The senior senator from California has spent more than 14 years on the Senate's most secretive committee, and through much of that time, she has defended the country's intelligence establishment.

She insisted that the National Security Agency was right to secretly collect data on huge numbers of telephone calls made by Americans. And she backed the CIA's covert use of Predator drones to conduct targeted killings in half a dozen nations.

But as she prepares to turn over the committee's gavel next month to Sen. Richard M. Burr (R-N.C.), Feinstein's tenure as chairwoman is closing amid an acrimonious fight over a project that pits her against the CIA. Her staff has completed a 6,000-page report evaluating and criticizing the agency's use during the George W. Bush years of harsh interrogation tactics, which President Obama and others have labeled as torture.

Since April, Feinstein has been fighting with the CIA and the White House to make public as much as possible of the report's 480-page executive summary.

“criticizing the agency’s use during the George W. Bush years of harsh interrogation tactics, “

So if either of the children whose pictures she keeps, were her grandchildren, would she approve of harsh interrogation tactics, to find out who did that to them?

Proof that “diane feinstein” and “intelligence” should never be used in the same sentence.”

“To me, it’s what we are up against. It is a testament to pure evil.”

Not so! Hillary says we need to “empathize” with the Muslims and their tendency to behead children.

feinstein is such a degenerate who shames the word intelligent. This leftist loser needs to get on the same play card as the rest of the DIMs/LIBs who hate uncontrollably.

“Making the report public now would threaten the security of American personnel overseas, Kerry told her.”

It does make you wonder how many more severed heads she wants to see before leaving the Senate for good.

(I’d love to post this on the LA Times site too)

Feinstein is a typical Democrat. Political through, and through. She’s anticipated, more than likely the party has anticipated the day would come when she’d have to hand over her prize chair position to a nasty old Republican, and has a booby trap prepared in time for the event.

The Los Angeles Slimes is carrying the bomb for them. Typical of the American MSM which is owned by only a handful of wealthy Liberals throughout this country.

Let’s keep this in perspective. This story is just another typical Democrat assault on our system.

She’s been in office way too long now but Kookifornica is majority too stupid to dump her like what happened to Mary Landrieu. DiFi has made a tidy sum indirectly from her senate seat. But Mexifornia worships their Dem goddesses—Boxer and Pelosi included. Utter morons....

"To me, it's what we are up against," Feinstein said in an interview. "It is a testament to pure evil."

She failed to add that the evil opponents are Jarrett, Michelle and Barky himself in the 1/2 white house.

I think there’s plenty to criticize Feinstein for. I’d never vote for the woman. She has represented my state for decades and I have wished she was gone since she first got there in Washington, D. C.

While I think she stinks as a Democrat Senator, I do have to recognize that at least she does grasp the evil nature of those we oppose. And while it doesn’t help her to grasp why water-boarding is necessary she has to some extent understood military matters. I’ve seen her reveal that over the years. It’s the one thing I have noticed somewhat positive about her.

Her angst over water boarding is either misguided, or she is privy to some of the tactics that may have gone farther than what they are allowed to do legally.

When interrogating someone, they have to know something for you to get it out of them. So to me there’s always the chance they don’t know what we need to know.

I have no problem with water boarding. If it gets the information we need to have, by all means, lets go for it.

If we go overboard and use techniques that are suspect, I would only hope that we are damned sure the prisoner actually knows the information. And how do you know that for sure.

At the end of the day, this is a terrorist we’re talking about. So at the end of the day, this person has made a choice that pretty much eliminates them from my sympathy.

It does haunt me that some of these men could have been drafted at the end of an AK-47, the heads of their family members only remaining because they “joined up” voluntarily, if you know what I mean.

Never, never put the words “intelligence” and Fineswine in the same sentence! this old Yenta needs to retire with her fourth husband Dickie Blum and try to spend all the government money they’ve stolen from the taxpayers before they die.

Feinstein and intelligence in the same sentence; that’s the problem right there.
