European Protests Call For Rejection of Militant Islam and Peace With Russia

Thousands of citizens have taken to the streets of Germany and Denmark over the past couple of days to protest the 'Islamisation' of Europe, to oppose Sharia law, and to call for peace with Christian Russia, as the attendance of weekly street rallies snowballs over immigration concerns.

The industrial city of Dresden in former Eastern Germany has seen a protest organised by “Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of Europe” (PEGIDA) every Monday for nearly two months, with numbers marching growing from just a 'few hundred' in October to over 10,000 today. The German movement has been so successful it has spawned a number of similar marches in other cities, but they have been the focus of criticism and counter-demonstrations.

Yesterday's march in Dresden of 10,000 attracted 9,000 determined to prevent it from going ahead, as they have done in previous weeks. The counter-protesters complain PEGIDA has been infiltrated with Neo-Nazis, however the tone of the protests and slogans they march under have a distinctly anti-fascist tone, and at times appear to have been inspired by the protests against the former Communist Eastern Germany, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Although the founder of the marches claims to be apolitical and is merely interested in preserving “Germany’s Judeo-Christian Western culture” and “zero tolerance for criminal immigrants”, some of the banners are more overtly political.

Think it's time for America to have this kind of Awakening?

I don’t know about peace with Russia, but I think Islam has too strong a hold on Europe to be rejected. To late.

Will only happen if thousands of Americans take to the streets and protest like they’re doing in Europe.

Christian Russia, only if you’re in the ROC. Otherwise, you’ll be targeted and murdered, as is occurring in Donetsk and Luhansk:

“EASTERN UKRAINE — Ukraine’s evangelical Christians are bearing the brunt of the country’s conflict, often with deadly consequences.

It’s a scene that has played in Elena Velichko’s head over and over. Pro-Russian rebels took over her hometown in early April. Her husband Vladimir told her to take the kids and leave the city.

“He took us to the train station and we said goodbye. He said, ‘I love you.’ He kissed me and kissed the children and left,” Elena said.

Several days later, her life and that of her eight children, ages 2 to 16, suddenly turned upside down.

Surreal Reality

It was June 8, Pentecost Sunday. The church was half empty. That’s because the city was under tremendous assault by both the pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian army.

Once the church service ended everybody made their way to the front of the church to go home.

But then the unimaginable happened.

“The church called and said my husband, along with three other believers, had been taken by men who were waiting outside the church,” Elena said.

Alexander Gayvoronski, a church deacon, was there that Sunday morning.

“The men wore masks and had machine guns. They told the four Christian men to get into their cars,” Gayvoronsi said.

The rebels took the pastor’s sons, Ruvim and Albert Pavenko, Victor Brodarsky, and Elena’s husband, Vladimir.

Multiple sources told CBN News what then happened to the four Christian captives.

First rebels took them outside the city and tortured them. The next day the men were put in car and told to drive away.

Then, minutes later they were recaptured and shot multiple times. Elena’s husband was burned in the car.

snip...

That same day rebels burned down the largest furniture factory that belonged to Ruvim and Albert Pavenko’s father.

It had become clear rebels were targeting the city’s evangelical community.

Snip...

Sergey Demidovich, a top evangelical leader in Slavyansk, said Christians face constant threat.

“I never thought in the 21st century, in [a] free country as Ukraine, it was possible to experience this level of persecution,” Demidovich said. “The separatists saw Protestant Christians as enemies. They viewed us as cults.”

But the persecution was just getting started.

“All the Protestant churches in the city were either taken over by rebels or forced to close. We were forbidden to meet for services and the leadership forced to leave or be under risk of arrest,” Demidovich said.

And the persecution is spreading far beyond just this city. Throughout the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as rebels gain more territory, assaults against evangelicals are growing.

snip...

“When I was in prison, a rebel soldier told me they have an order to kill all the Christian pastors who are not part of the Russian Orthodox Church,” Anatoly, a pastor from Luhansk, said.”

Unfortunately, Russia is making a mighty effort to infiltrate the right-wing in Europe (though this is the European right-wing, who are Faux-Rightists, not to be compared with Americans). They already control the Communist parties and have plenty of agents hidden within the socialist parties throughout Europe. When these goons start talking about “Christian Russia,” look a little closer and you’ll find a bunch of creeps who have ties to Moscow.

Yes, Putin who admires Stalin and excuses Soviet crimes, while his country has some of the worst mortality and health indicators of a "white" country.

What you see marching in the streets are the sad lumpen losers of their respective countries. Anyone who admires Putin should take a cyanide cocktail immediately.

In the 1930s before the Non-Aggression Pact, many looked to the Soviet Union as the savior against the rise of Hitler.

Now the Russians are playing the same game, getting ahead of the curve and portraying themselves as the saviors against radical Islam.

Well, I certainly agree with the desire to oppose "the 'Islamisation' of Europe" and "Sharia law."

But as to Russia's being the very apotheosis of "Christian[ity']--well, that is certainly subject to debate...

Drawing from a very limited anecdotal exposure to my neighbors here in Bavaria, I fear there is a very strong tendency to excuse Vladimir Putin and find fault with America at every turn.

Conspiracy theories abound, it is believed that America is fomenting a war at Germany's expense with Russia.

There is also some reason to believe that Russia has installed a very active agitprop organization in Germany which might be encouraging these demonstrations. The connection of Gerhard Schroeder to anything renders it suspect.

Street demonstrations against sharia are to be welcomed but I want to take a close look at the pro-Russian demonstrations.

Bavaria has always been a hot spot of regressive thought at least back before Bismarck. Do they call you an “auslander”?

Schroeder?:) Look further. Germany had more Communists than Russia in any given period of time since mid-1800s.

Christian Russia? No such thing!

Russia is the evil axis that gives us Islamic terror, nuclear annihilation and the spirit of the anti-christ.

Communist/Socialist/Putinist, all skilled in highjacking other movements and paying lip service to promote their own agenda. In this case opposed Islam to promote Putin’s Russia with collaboration/control? of the Orthodox Church.
