A woman who has for years accused Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday claiming the fallen funnyman sullied her “good name and reputation” when he branded her a liar.
Tamara Green, 66, filed her claim in federal court in Massachusetts, alleging the comedian, through lawyers and publicists, negligently disregarded the truth and willfully induced “an evil opinion of her.”
Green, a retired lawyer, said the "pattern" of public shaming started when she first stepped forward in 2005 with claims Cosby drugged and groped her in the 1970s after hiring her to help him open a club.

I was the university’s student host for a diplomat traveling on a diplomatic passport when he made an unsuccessful attempt to coerce me to serve as his involuntary pimp and secure him some university girls and boys to use for his sexual escapades. When I left him and immediately reported his criminal behavior to the university’s sponsor, the diplomat arranged to use his friends in the university to retaliate against me.
This character had no special need to engage in such risky behavior just to get some sexual gratification, except you could see it gave him immediate gratification to wield oppressive force against a person he deemed to be relatively defenseless.
If the allegations against Bill Cosby happen to be generally true in all or most cases, you can bet dollars to donuts the payoff to Cosby would be the gratification received from wielding abusive power against women. The descriptions of the alleged incidents and other comments from people who Cosby hired to perform services for him fit very well with a celebrity who gets enjoyment out of abusing people.
Don’t be so sure a witness has finally come forward after all these years who can confirm the woman’s allegations against Cosby. One reason the witness may have come forward at this late date is because the statute of limitations does not protect Cosby in this case.
This is the old rat trap. After he calls her a liar, she has an actionable claim. That means a deposition for him which he cannot handle. A dead rape claim is one thing, perjury is another. Well played but unsurprising.

A person can say what they want to say. Duh. That doesn’t mean what anybody says is true. For instance, one of your pals just claimed to have been postinq at FR for a couple years but has a start date of Nov 27th - with all but a few posts beinq about Cosby, accusinq lonq-time Freepers of beinq Sandusky supporters because they question the discrepancies in the Cosby accusers’ stories.

It's very probable she knew he was messing around but looked the other way. Money, ease of life, community standing: all great placaters.
Even with some of the rape rumblings she might of heard, I'd bet it was very easy to convince one's self the women were tramps (probably were in most instances anyway), liars, looking for money, etc.
