Republicans say GOP needs 80 Democrats to pass the bill - source Jim Moran (CSPAN)
CSPAN ^ | 11 Dec 2014

Posted on 12/11/2014 5:51:12 PM PST by 11th_VA

Jim Moran came out of the RAT caucus and said they are saying they need 80 RATs to crossover. Doesn't think more than 50 - 60 will crossover.

House coming back at 9 pm to vote

he sure damn does. technically anyone can be voted speaker.

would you not just love it if they voted rush in as speaker? he probably wouldn’t do it but the libtard heads exploding all over at once would be worth it.

walter williams would be great. thomas sowell would be great.

It’s the lifting of CAPs for campaigns - if it goes thru, the GOPe will kill the Teaparty in primaries ..
= = = = = = = = = = =
Really a shame that these people don’t go with the ‘will of the people’.

I firmly believe that if you are running for Mayor your funds should be restricted to your constituents ONLY.
For Congress, all members of your District ONLY.
For Senator or Gov all members of your State ONLY.
Pres ALL members of USA ONLY.

Might even throw in there that if you don’t vote you shouldn’t donate BUT think this is probably not a problem.
In a small town or city if your office is in the town, and you live in the County, you CAN’T vote for town/city elections...Even though your business is probably paying taxes and license fees to the city or town...
(Naturally I am using the term CAN’T VOTE to you are not supposed to vote).
Would probably save enough in Postage and Staff to fund a few more ships/airplanes etc etc

I guess it would be somewhat libelous if I said I know Jim Moran etc etc etc...

So, I will say from what I hear of Moron, if you are standing alongside of him outside and he says it is raining, look up to make sure he isn’t lying.

Kind of like the two candidates took an oath to run a clean campaign and no smearing.

The one stands up and says

“If we weren’t running a NO SMEAR campaign, I would bring up the fact that ‘Jack’ was arrested for a DUI, doesn’t pay child support and has 2 girlfriends. But since we vowed to not get ‘personal’, I won’t bring that up”.

The GOP now owns Obamacare.

“The GOP now owns Obamacare.”

They have owned it since January 2011 when they became the majority in the house and became responsible under the Constitution for appropriations.

It would help cut down on Lobbyist influence corruption that's for sure. It's sad. If a person from a Congressman's district calls the office the most he will get will be a low level Intern likely some donors kid. Write a letter and you'll get a machine generated generic reply worded as if your letter was actually read. If others {donors, etc} call in they get directly connected or a high level aide and their voice has influence.

Our Congress and the GOP has sold itself like cheap Ho's addicted to drugs to the highest bidders in return for power or monetary gains. They are addicted to power and will sell anything to obtain/retain it seems like except represent and abide in the wishes of We The People.

Can’t be filibustered. The best he could do is deny unanimous consent, which would lead to another cloture vote McConnell would help pass just so he could say he voted against the final bill.

“Boehner needs to be challenged and removed.”

And people like Rush need to exclaim that on each and every show.

In case this was ever in doubt this bill proves beyond all question that the elites, not the people run America. The only difference between the D and R leadership is the letter after their name, and both have a small “e” representing establishment.

In Tennessee... Time to start looking for Chuck Fleischmann's replacement. He's been around the Chattanooga/Corker cabal too long. His district extends from Chattanooga to up to Anderson County {Oak Ridge}. In the TN GOP Duncan and Blackburn as well as DesJarlais rightfully went against Boehner on the Budget vote. Fleischmann, Fincher, Black, and Roe did not.

That said I sure wish Duncan would step up and challenge Corker for his senate seat. Duncan is solid conservative one of the voices of reason and discipline. It's time for term limits as well. Past time really. Two lifetime terms for senate and four for the Reps.

“everything that happens in DC is not in America’s interest”

That sums it up. Tonight they will go out, celebrate their fleecing of the people and buy a round of the best top’shelf for “the house” using our tax money.

These comprehensive bills serve as a major smokescreen and threat to the citizenry.

Yes indeed.
And the ‘real’ shame of it is they (the shi(oops)..sitters) get to rewrite the rules and vote on them before we know they are meeting.
Like that farce about the pay raises..

AND no more CLOSED VOTES..make each one of them ‘own up’ to what they are ‘doing’ to us.

Bad enough they will manipulate the votes to coincide who is up for what (Senate especially), ‘allowing’ one in a questionable district to vote with the opposition IF IT FITS THEIR NEEDS.

Of course algores global warming will wipe us out or hell will definitely freeze over (kind of go hand in hand) before the people that make our rules let us know WTF they are up to...

Another poster hit it on the head...”WE” collectively, sat on our ass and let this crap happen. Oh we may have raised a ruckus now and then but WE got sucked in by the frog in the boiling water trick......

The old “Do me a favor and hand me that gun. Thanks” Then the SOB shoots you........

All the more reason to kill it.
