MA forefathers would be horrified to see what their state has become.
I’m horrified just living here...

If it was buried by Samuel Adams and Paul Revere I wouldn’t be surprised if they left future Americans bullets, powder, and directions...You know, just in case the government turns tyrannical...kinda like today...funny it is being dug up now.
Has to be a sign

Paul Revere - Arguably the first FReeper - he didn't even have dial-up but he had a
horse and a lantern and made historic use of both.

I would say do the same as in 1855, and rebury it with something of today’s America included, say a 2000 page piece of legislation or several dozen nonworking hard drives ... but at the rate things are going no one 50 years from now will know or care who or what it is anyway ...

And this is the second time capsule story from MA in recent months.
"Galvin said the Massachusetts Statehouse is one of the oldest, active statehouses in the country.
'Obviously, when we talk about the original box being presided over by then-Gov. Sam Adams, Paul Revere, it's pretty significant,' he said. 'I'm very fond of saying ... that the history of Massachusetts is the history of America, and it's very true and this is another evidence of that.'

When I renovated my home I embedded various historical items, trinkets, newspapers, receipts, and letters I wrote about the state of our country.
They were placed in ziploc bags that I then inserted into Tupperware containers...subsequently sealed behind interior walls and ceilings. Workers will get a good laugh 100+ years from now when they are updating the place!
They will also clearly know the home was owned by a patriot that loved America.

So much good and bad has happened to this republic .......All said and done I am very glad to be an American from Texas. Men an women throughout our history have endured pain, poverty, hardships and great loss to preserve liberty as they fought every day in some form or manner to counter threats to its loss or destruction.
They knew then it was and would be an ongoing task to remain alert, aware and conscious of enemies foreign and domestic.
Few these days shoulder such responsibility as our founders and original citizens did their entire lives.
Such are these treasures of history that will hopefully remind those of us that still care.
Stay Safe Liberty !!

AND DEFEND IT WITH THE 2ND AMENDMENT !!"
My counsel is to rebury the time capsule until someone, or some government will appreciate it, and hold it in high regard !

I think about that, often. You read about how much these men loved their home states and the people in them....they would be absolutely appalled.
