Upbeat Cosby expects ‘black media’ to stay neutral
NY Post ^ | December 13, 2014 | Stacy Brown

Bill Cosby broke his silence Friday, albeit briefly, to lecture the media on remaining “neutral” and to say that his wife is standing by him.

Reached at his Massachusetts home, the star declined to address the rape and sex abuse allegations from an ever-growing list of women that now includes supermodel Beverly Johnson.

Instead, Cosby, 77, said that the African-American media — for which this reporter often writes — should be impartial.

“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” Cosby said.

perhaps you are referring to:

“America taught my son’s killer to hate Blacks”

letter to the editor, usa today, july 8, 1998

but anyway, yeah, cosby allegedly providing an alleged victim with a number that he knows is shared with his wife would seem to indicate that she has some baggage.

if true, that is some seriously scary stuff...

“Their motives are money and notoriety NOW.

they can make their false accusations with impunity knowing that all the evidence has long since been destroyed by the passage of time.”

Well said. So we (the public) get our information from a media kangaroo court, that has proven time and again to be collectively biased. Their only priority is a promoting the MSM as a collective institution. They profit from hyped headlines and more eyeballs, instead of non-partisan honesty and fairness.

The MSM have gone from a 4th estate that kept politicians and America honest to a profit seeking, agenda making cabal, that pumps out propaganda. I blame them for a significant part of the destruction of our culture. Now they are picking and choosing other designated targets.

If Cosby is proven guilty then he should pay.

Does that also include the 2004 drugging /rape case that he has already settled out of court in 2006, and the 13 women who came forward to testify to his methods, in that case?

Cosby has already paid once.

“”A blanket denial from Bill Cosby’s lawyer dismissing allegations of sexual abuse by the comedian against several women has been clarified with a subsequent statement.

The new statement released Monday says that Cosby’s denials do not refer to accuser Andrea Constand, whose civil lawsuit against him was settled in 2006.””

“Constand had accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2004.”

They can bot prove Cosby guilty.

The statue of limitations has run out both civilly and criminally.

All they have is the media character assasination.

That is it.

“Having served on criminal juries, I simply refuse to judge and try people based upon what the entertainment media says, be it Nancy Grace or Wolf Blitzer or etc.”

I don’t ever watch either of these morons, so I don’t know how to respond except to say that I have formed my current opinion based on what the actual victims have said publicly, and some of the corroborating stories from those were involved with Cosby at the time the alleged acts occurred. I think that Cosby is simply a Black Bill Clinton. I just wish that one of the victims had some DNA on a dress.

Your saying so doesn’t make it true.

Go ask the cops what evidence they had to arrest Jerry Sandusky for molestation.

Go ask Jerry Sandusky in his prison cell what evidence was presented at his trial where a jury convicted him of the molestation charges. There was no physical evidence presented to the jury. The only evidence presented was testimony by the victim.

Go ask the prosecutors what evidence they had against Jerry Sandusky. They would tell you they only had the victim’s testimony, which they presented to the jury, and used to win their case.

Also ask the prosecutors if they felt dumb bringing charges based on a victim’s testimony and winning their case.

I suppose you could also ask Bill Cosby what kind of evidence he was presented with when one of the women sued him which made him settle his case.

josettedupree Has an EPIPHANY... “(Someone) saying something does not make it TRUE”

Exactly.

An actress claims that 28 years ago she felt woozy at a comedians house. He took her out of the house and put her in a Taxi. End of story.

Did she show up at his house dead stinking drunk? Perhaps so, but nobody knows beause it was 28 flipping years ago.

The statute of limitations for the criminal case for charging her with drunk and disorderly conduct have long since expired.

Meanwhile, back in reality, Real crimes are occuring. ISIS wannabe’s are holding hostages in Australia.

If you read a little of the reason, Jerry molested his own adopted son...according to the prosecution, they have much evidence that the prosecutor didn't bring forward due to the possibility of Jerry being prosecution for other things. His own son testified that it was a nightly thing when he was put to bed...but the prosecutions also mentioned much evidence that were not brought forward. They have evidence along with testimony but his son's testimony shocked even the defense lawyers. But this thread is not about
sandusky. I am still waiting for evidence in Cosby case...I will then say he is guility

I’ll start by saying that I despise the new media because of what they’ve become. They represent a consolidated propaganda entertainment machine. They once candidly exposed political, government and big business corruption and that served the public.

Today they are on a mission to keep average Americans infighting about relatively picayune subjects only they get to pick and choose. To better control they are dropping comments from their “news” articles. Most of the FOX News among others say Comments Closed.

The media always tends to pit males against females in one manner or another, as part of their divide process. Usually males get the short end in these situations too. It is their game plan.

Cosby could be guilty but since the victims did not come forth in a reasonable time (and there may be in their minds legitimate reasons) I can’t enthusiastically get behind a media movement to nail him.

What do you call reasonable time for reporting such a crime?

And why do you refuse to respond to posts that correct the misinformation that you spew?

I’ll say again he could be guilty. I’m not beyond believing that anyone (at least those I do not know) could be guilty of anything. I do not know Bill Cosby nor his accusers.

But instead of depending upon what I’ve come to believe as very untrustworthy media, who make up stories on the fly to suit their agenda against average Americans, I’ll wait for a trial to determine his guilt or innocence, if that ever occurs.

I’m sick of hearing a biased elitist over paid media playing us as fools while they all get rich. What justifies $25 million/yr for Matt Lauer, that the NBC advertisers and marketeers then add to the cost of their Chinese made crap products?

I know he is a Liberal. I didn’t say he was a Conservative, but a couple of recent times he has expressed Conservative views regarding the work ethics of Blacks, the “falling apart” of their families, etc. So I am wondeing if he isn’t being targeted because of those things he has said.

No, there isn’t a vast 15 year conspiracy to get back at Bill Cosby.

These are not women and witnesses being directed by a central command somewhere.

Please address my point concerning the Sandusky trial. By your standards I’m sure you think that all of those kids got together and made up those stories about being molested by the coach, who just wanted to help these kids, and are out to get him for his money. Since there is no evidence to back up the charges against him, he should be out walking the streets, visiting middle schools to introduce himself to boys, running his charity for kids, taking kids to football games, the Penn State locker rooms, and his basement in his home for sleepovers. These kids were all probably drunk and are out trying to ruin this saint of a man’s life.

I can see why you don’t want to discuss the Sandusky case because it is so similar to the Cosby case. Jerry Sandusky was convicted on many of the charges with only the victim’s testimony as evidence. There was no other evidence presented. Many of the jurors said they convicted Sandusky because of the testimony given by the victims. Like many of Cosby’s victims, these victims didn’t report their abuse to the police, either. Some of these kids’ allegations weren’t made until years after the abuse. One mother did report it at the time and the police conducted an investigation. At its conclusion no charges were brought and they told Sandusky to quit showering with kids.

No. We are talking about the Cosby non-case.

By my standards? Please put down the crack pipe and look at the evidence. Even a simpleton like you should be able to observe the differences in the cases.

Geez.
