Late Saturday night, while few Americans were paying attention, the GOP establishment abrogated the last distinguishing factor that existed between the two parties. The GOP elites in the Senate joined Democrats in declaring our Constitution null and void.
Not only were Senate Republicans planning to rubber stamp the Cromnibus/amnesty bill – the worst and most consequential single piece of legislation since Obamacare – they wanted to get it done without compelling Democrats to take a tough vote defending Obama’s illegal actions. After forcing the poor senators to work over the weekend, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) finally leveraged Harry Reid into agreeing to conduct a vote on the constitutionality of Obama’s amnesty, as represented through the budget bill in the funding for immigration-related agencies. But GOP leadership would have no part in Cruz’s bold effort.
So visceral was their hatred for Cruz for keeping them at work another day; so callous was their regard for stopping Obama’s amnesty, that 20 Republicans – including Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and John Cornyn (R-TX) – voted with Democrats to affirm the constitutionality of Obama’s act.
Then, all but 13 Republicans proceeded to vote for cloture on the “Cromnibus” bill, which consummates and accelerates Obama’s amnesty.
Their hatred for conservatives superseded their love for the Constitution or regard for the integrity of our sovereignty – even if that meant squandering an opportunity to embarrass the Democrats.

I called his office to thank him for his political convictions and courage. He is fighting the Dems, the president, the media, and of course the GOP. He deserves our support.
I refer to them as judas goats.
That is exactly what we told the Party Hacks and the GOP sycophants who went to war on anyone who would dare speak that truth.
We were told ‘Nancy Pelosi, Obama and Harry Reid thank you”, and were called every vile name and accusation you can imagine.
But the truth is, they are the ones Obama is actually thanking today.
I call the the GOP ruling class Judenrats.
They assist the MarxoFascists in loading Conservatives onto the boxcars bound for irrelevance and worse.
23 “republican” senators voted that Obama’s Executive Amnesty is consistent with the Constitution.
The GOP gave Obama a great victory. No doubt about that.
In a couple of years, the GOP will be claiming, once again, they are protecting conservative interests. They will throw us a bone or two over the next couple of years and then they will ask us in 2016 for our money and our votes, but its all a ruse. They are a bunch of deceitful liars.

Betrayal is too kind of a word to describe what just happened. It was nothing short of back stabbing. But the amazing thing is, the Republican base will still support and/or re-elect those very same “conservatives”.
Voting now seems to be an exercise in futility.

One cannot hate Conservatism and still “love,” or even “like,” the Constitution.
What the GOP elite is proving, is what many FReepers already knew and that is that their only interest is to maintain their position of power. They have no interest in the individual liberty of their electorate, they have no interest in the soveriegnty of the country and they have no interest in any seperation of powers. Their only interest lies in being able to clink glasses with their pals on the east coast elitist cocktail circuits!
But hey, “if we just vote for them, they will certainly do the right thing.” Yeah, right.

I am with you on your entire post. Just as an FYI, I have taken to just agreeing with those drones, as I continue to smoke. It is totally confounding to a non-thinker when their ears hear, “oh, ok, that sounds good.” while their eyes see you take another drag!

Not on your level but was at our boat this weekend. A seagull or some big butted bird had left a flying crap that splattered everywhere on it. I had sprayed it off and it was stuck so I laid the hose down for a sec to scrub it. A maintenance man for the marina was walking by and said hey capt.....there’s a drought and your water is running everywhere. I looked up and said.....you need to go talk to someone who cares about what you say.
Boy you could see the fire coming out of his eyes! I lol’ed all day over it.
I’m angered and ashamed to say that Johnny Isakson one of our RINO senators voted agains’t the constitution. We are hopefully going to primary his sorry azz in 2016.
