Demonstrators protesting killings by police in New York and Missouri were arrested Monday after they chained themselves to doors and a flagpole at the Oakland Police Department headquarters.
A live-stream video via Blackout Collective shows demonstrators blocking a doorway outside the headquarters and singing,

The cops should just take their keys and leave them locked there for 3 to 5 years.
They won’t even need to send the paddy wagon.
Just walk them right into booking.

Why did they arrest them? why not leave them chained to the doors and flag poles or just add more chains. Maybe it was their singing that got them arrested.

Yeah, I’ve never understood that either, just leave them chained there. Either eventually they will free themselves or they will have to hire someone to cut the chains, or will dire of exposure.
I’ve always said that would be my solution. Just leave them there until they got someone else to unchain them.
Then arrest them.

Do not forget to superglue the locks and the smell; they need to be hosed off.
Leave them there. Add chains as someone suggested. Eventually nature will call and they can all sit there in their own pee and sh*t.
