Jeb Bush Thinks He Can Persuade The Republican Base To Get Behind Immigration Legislation
BuzzFeed ^ | December 16, 2014 | Andrew Kaczynski

Posted on 12/17/2014 10:10:26 AM PST by C19fan

In his first interview since he announced Tuesday that he was actively exploring the possibility of running for president, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he thought he could persuade the Republican base to support his position on immigration. Bush has advocated for Republicans to soften their tone on immigration, and has repeatedly called on Congress to address the issue with comprehensive legislation. “A candidate gets to persuade,” Bush said to Miami’s NBC 6. “I think there’s a compelling case that if we want to be young and dynamic again, we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration, that we control our borders, enforce the laws. But that we embrace our immigrant heritage and allow our country to take off. You gotta do both.”

'But that we embrace our immigrant heritage and allow our country to take off. '

Joy. We have all the immigration we can handle and we are going down the drain.

Jeb is a model Republican. And that is the problem.

The problem with Bushes...

You can’t take them down with a riding lawn-mower.

It takes a ballot to do the job.

And then an extreme Leftist takes over. That would be the man pretending to be one Barack Hussein Obama.

So many names. So little time.

Jeb Bush has already lost the Republican base by obsessing on immigration reform and other leftist absurdities. Besides, Jebby boy has already said he doesn’t need conservatives. His royal linage in the house of clowns will assure his coronation.

What is amazing, is that this man actually thinks those who hold the opposite opinion of his have such shallow beliefs, that he could easily change them.

Mr. Bush, our beliefs have been developed over our lifetime. Specifically on this issue over the last thirty years. We know the issue forwards and backwards. We’ve had to live it in our states, regions, communities, towns, and yes even on our streets, our specific block!

How dare you act as if our knowledge on this is so shallow that all we need is for a leader to educate us.

Screw you ass-—e!

Anytime you need some knowledge on this subject, contact me or someone like me. We’ll tell you everything you need to know.

Who the hell needs “legislation”?????

The Ruling Class GOP Oligarchy just funded an Imperial decree to grant Amnesty.

Is Jeb wanting MORE ownership of our invasion by South American Socialist squatters?

Bush’s back yard of Miami has inequality comparable with Latin America. That is what Bush’s Open Borders policy will do for America.

If Bush is the Party nominee for 2016 then BOTH America and the GOP may be too far gone to ever recover to what we once were.

Supporting BUSH is like watching a television RERUN without snacks or refreshments.

What a POS. He thinks the base will fall for it. He will say that he would secure the borders and allow highly skilled/educated and high income foreigners to become citizens.

The reality with jebbush is open borders, slave-wage earners and more welfare cases.

“I think there’s a compelling case that if we want to be young and dynamic again, we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration, that we control our borders, enforce the laws”

No. We must encourage middle class families to have children. US tax policies make it too expensive for working families to have children. These families have to work multiple jobs to pay taxes so that freeloading welfare queens can have 10 children by 10 different fathers...

As usual, the government is the cause of all problems that ails America.

If Jeb really believes that, he is clueless.

Agreed. I was thinking we could take up a collection here on FR and buy him a CLUE.

Exactly. His adoration of illegal aliens is weird. He is smart enough to know that his immigration agenda will have devastating consequences for the U.S.

And we should not forget his fumbling and bumbling and outrageous callousness regarding Terri Schiavo.

Correct.

He’s one of the elites.

No big deal to let a peon/prol/plebe die.

In fact, it’s part of the requisite, eugenic pruning process.

A wise leader has a two way street in communication with those who follow.
We already have a leader who leads through threats.
