I hope not.The money will be used to enrich the Castro cabal and also to upgrade the prisons.

Any American that goes to lie on the blood stained sands of Cuba deserves whatever disease they contract on that fetid island.

The rich socialists in America will flock to this socialist island paradise, movie stars will be there in droves.

Not until there are a lot of American-quality resorts built all over the Cuban beaches.

Let me point this out. Europeans have been in Cuba for three or four decades. There’s probably twenty different resorts which attract several thousand people a week to fly in and stay a week or two. But before you start to get all frisky over this....consider this.

What the Europeans come back and chat about are the grand resorts on the beach with barb-wire fences around them. The beaches are nice where the resorts are....but don’t go anywhere else expecting clean or great beaches.

The city streets are old and crappy. The structures are mostly places built prior to 1960. Cubans for the most part are practically broke....so they don’t have cash for nothing. Some major league US team to show up for a baseball game? Forget about charging $20 a ticket....you’d have limit it to a maximum of a dollar.

The only business angle I see expanding is health care. Once you figure out that a $25,000 operation can be done in Havana for $5,000.....you will do all your operations down there. Forget about health-insurance.

So, don’t get excited....there’s nothing much worth money there.

Well our policy of the past 50 years has had zero luck getting rid of the Castro Regime. I say and have said for years that we should just flood them with all the evil capitalistic goodies and they will implode on their own.

Cuba is a beautiful country & the people absolutely love to talk to Americans.

It's also easily the poorest country I've been to & vacationing there would be quite the culture shock for most.

Just got back from Africa...Kenya,in fact.A breathtakingly poor and backward country but one where English is spoken by a surprising number of people (former British colony..perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised).

I have no desire to see the Spanish language version. At least Kenya has interesting national parks.

Why go to Cuba? If you yearn for lovely beaches we have them here in the good ole’ USA. Florida, Hawaii, more on the east coast south of New England, plus many islands in the world that are not run by dictators are great destinations where they speak English and our money stays here!

Ain’t it about time we stopped acting like hysterical chimpanzees over Cuba? The fastest way to democratize that country is to flood it with tourists, iPhones and laptops. Jayzus, people, learn how modern societies work. This is the electronic age. Just let MacDonalds and Target do its laissez faire work and watch Santos Trafficante roll over in his grave. This is precisely what Kim Jun Un fears the most.

Just wait for him to give Castro the American installation at Guantanamo. This will happen before 2016.

He promised to shut it down and he will do it and give it away.
