Anyone else here see how Victorian that title appears?
This going be struck down I could tell Morgana
OH yeah this so unconsituanal hate to say this is true
Even Law and Order Mothership did take on this second year
Yes. I read it wrong the first time.
Also, ironically, often it is the father of the child that is pressuring the woman to abort. Would getting his “permission” be an opening for him to do more pressuring of the woman? I don’t know.
OTOH, I have known men who tried to talk their girlfriend out of killing their child. Those guys would have loved to be able to stop the process by not giving their permission. And yes, they were willing to take sole custody of the baby.
Equality Now!
A better headline would be: Father must give permission when mother wants to kill their baby.
That’s what I call journalistic abuse of the power of suggestion!
PP Clinics don’t follow the law now, why would they follow this new one ?
If the female doesn’t want to get permission from the father, she can just get any male to sign it and claim he was the father.
This will be struck down, but I was always wondering about some kind of state marriage licensing procedure during which a woman would be required to make a choice - either agree that any decision to terminate a pregnancy resulting from that marriage would need to be a joint decision, OR agreeing that her husband, in the event of a divorce, would be free of any child support obligations AND would, barring any extraordinary circumstances, receive preferential treatment should he want custody of the child.
Something like that would be fair, since it is giving a woman a choice (hence it’s pro-”choice - ha ha)! If a woman wants to exclude her husband from these decisions, then at the very least he should be free of any consequences of that decision (i.e. child support). And since denying the husband any say in such a decision would generally indicate that the wife is less committed to her future family than is the husband, I think the preferential treatment in custody cases would also make sense.
And again, the woman would have a choice - so could something like that possibly be upheld?
Will they be hiring Whoopi Goldberg as their “Rape-Rape Czar” to make the determination?

Fixed it.
I have been in front of abortion clinics where the father is driving his daughter to the appointment. I nearly got attacked by one father who was spitting mad at the thought that he could not take his daughter inside for the procedure without being accosted by somebody else’s conscience.
Too many loopholes here, and it’s way too complicated. Here’s the best fix: Get the baby’s permission to abort it.
Welfare queens don’t know who the father is.
