The Starsky n Hutch fanclub won’t discuss the shootings of innocent bystanders by the gang in blue’s amazing shooting ability on crowded streets in NYC, expending round after round missing assailants, hitting innocent bystanders in recklessness. Happened twice. Or their associated west coast big city L.A. brother/sisterhood gang who opened fire in two separate incidents on vehicles they viewed as matching Chris Dorners’, breaking laws, violating innocents. No prosecution by L.A. DA. Officer safety trumps all. No “good cops” unions, committees, decried this anywhere. Silence per usual.

Gee, think this might affect public opinion?

That’s devastating. There’s no recovering from that. Talk about losing the hearts and minds of the citizenry...who just happened to be the most armed on earth? Pure madness. And just tiny examples of what can easily be found on youtube of illegal actions, the same police agencies who did FastnFurious scandal and won’t go after illegals per edict rather than oath. Just following orders after all.

But again, it’s a huge country, plenty of police, sheriffs showed up at Bundy Ranch. Plenty have put their names out there stating won’t enforce illegal edicts concerning gun infringements in CO, NY, WA, etc. Plenty in support of recent 2000 armed civil disobedience on WA state capital steps. But alas, the conservative mainstream tv/radio media will get to that in 3,2,1... /sarcasm

All of it lays groundwork for civil war type strife, unrest in different regions from the fractures of a broken rule of law.

Killing cops here is wrong, but it’s inevitable consequence of the corruption and destruction of the rule of law. Lawlessness breeds lawlessness. Rule of the jungle with no rules.

There are many people living in an antiqued paradigm, a version of their own past reality; that is, police are a force of good, all else prove your innocence. This was when we had freedom, rule of law. Those assumptions of honor, code, ethics are a well and good but folks, this is a different America.
Whether one agrees or not, the fact is there are huge numbers of people who hate law enforcement and chomping at the bit, and this was all over social media circa 2009 I saw, with threats on FB for a sheriff who wanted house to house searches after a Indiana Supreme Court case mishap. No prosecutions for thousands of people making threats because it can’t be done.
In recent excessive force case in NY state, prosecuted officer Glans home address instantly went up. Another cop who worked under him was peeved and stated vocally on social media, his home address went up. Rahm Emmanuel mayor’s kid was robbed at gunpoint on his block recently, news/social media unwittingly exposed all police security measures around perimeter. That’s the power of internet and it’s devastating. It’s an info war, it’s psy-ops war, it’s fast evolving and mainstream hack media and gov’t will be able to catch up.

In the same fashion, police us vs. them mentality, allegiance and militarization have created their own false reality. There will be further heavy handedness because violence is the authority’s only recourse, but it will lead to further illegitimacy. Like the 1930’s during Public Enemies era, cop stations/armories will be raided; also now police will be stripping uniforms faster than ten dollar strippers in the ghetto.

So, A) we have an underclass of criminals (who because of breakdown of family, psychotropic drugs, etc have sociopathic tendencies at younger and younger age), deviants, anarchists, racists, radical Islam, illegals, terrorists, gangs who want to wreck havoc;
B) corrupt jack boot thugs who’s allegiance is to paycheck and have rejected their oaths to the Constitution, ends justify the means for statist masters;
C) prepared aware and armed citizenry and police who follow rule of law and adhere to Constitution;
D) masses of people whether families, working types, lemmings, who avoid conflict and will sway with the winds;

So IMO the situation will be devolved into regional conflicts, and your flavor may vary... large cities and urban areas will be hit the worst with police state tactics and dog eat dog devouring; of course, martial law is impossible in the U.S. without foreign troops — the best hope gov’t has is locking down a certain geographic area, but then again, being a large country, the hunting parties may arrive.

IMO one should try to get with group C in your AO for defense and otherwise avoid/eliminate groups A and B. Group D will suffer greatly.

“No “good cops” unions, committees, decried this anywhere. Silence per usual.”

The kicker is that when cops got angry about ball players supporting that Ferguson thug, the cops found a voice loud enough to be heard. Clearly, if LE wants to speak out, they can get heard.

There’s aren’t “huge numbers” of ordinary people who hate law enforcement.

There might be huge numbers of drug addled idiots who do- I’ll give you that.
