Cokie and Steven Roberts: Jeb, Hillary mirror each other

COKIE and STEVEN ROBERTS Syndicated columnists
Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton badly need each other. They cancel out each others greatest weaknesses and deprive their foes of some of their strongest arguments.
Both have similar flaws and are vulnerable to the same charges: that they are too old (Jeb would be 63 on election day 2016; Hillary, 69), too out of practice (Jeb was last elected governor of Florida in 2002; Hillary was last elected senator from New York in 2006), too tied to previous presidents (their close relatives have won five of the last seven presidential elections).
Moreover, both Jeb and Hillary are essentially mainstream figures, and to their critics on the ideological edges, they are far too cozy with Wall Street and other bastions of the Evil Establishment.

I know a lot of folks here hate the Jebster, and he’s certainly not my top pick, but as gov of FL I believe he showed infinitely more ability than Charlotte Clinton-Mezvinsky’s granny.
I don't hate anyone, but clearly the leadership is not there and if America doesn't get some strong conservative leadership soon, we are doomed to more of the same liberal policies and executive orders which are destroying our nation.
Jeb is not a strong conservative in my opinion. His views on anmesty for illegals does not fairly represent the millions of naturalized citizens who have worked long and hard to earn their citizenship legally. You cannot reward the dishonest with honesty for being dishonest. Nor can you exclude special groups from adhering to the Constitution and rule of law in the name of love and compassion.
If Jeb or anyone else wants my vote he will have to be honest with me. Tell me he believes faithfully in the Constitution and rule of law and that no one is above it. And speak Inglés at home.
Mirror images. They both like chicks?
After the youthful radical we have now (not to mention he libido filled child Bill Clinton), an older statesman strikes me as desirable. Whatever happened to the idea of the wisdom of the elderly?
Wisdom of the elderly?
Out of style for several decades now.
Perhaps, in the fullness of time, it will again be valued.
Perhaps not.
