44K or 100K signatures in a city of 20 million really don't amount to a pimple on de Blasio’s arse. My guess is, he and his party will just shrug it off. The big question now, is will or will he not attend the funerals of the two police officers. That would/will be an opportunity for him to throw some more gasoline on this smoldering fire.
