MIAMI TWP., Ohio -- Police say a shopper with a conceal-carry license killed a teenager outside of the Dayton Mall Saturday in an act of self defense.
Jawad Jabbar, 16, of Middletown and two other juveniles attempted to rob two men at gunpoint outside the mall around 10 a.m., the Miami Twp. police department told WCPO news partner, WHIO-TV in Dayton.
One of the men produced a firearm and shot Jabbar after the three Middletown teens demanded the adults hand over merchandise. Jabbar died a short time later.

A couple of interesting twists to this story:
The as yet to be publicly identified individual that shot the teen was a legal CCW holder; the mall has a no weapons policy (at least on the inside), so the shooter was apparently in violation of that policy as he was leaving the mall heading towards his vehicle. The teen reportedly pulled a weapon, so he also may have been in violation of the policy (though it’s not been reported if he actually entered the mall, or was just in the parking lot), and he would not have been a legal weapon holder at 16.
This raises an interesting liability question in my mind. Had the legal CCW holder followed the rules and not been carrying, and been hurt/killed in the incident, what would be the mall’s responsibility? While it is the right of the mall owner’s to have a no-weapons policy, that policy also gives them near total responsibility to provide protection since they are limiting and individual’s self-protection options.

The previous link content mentioned no gun from the perps. And I mentioned in my previous post their previous content seemed dishonest.
I’m not sure I would say it was dishonest. More information has been coming out slowly over today’s. I’ve looked at a couple of local news sources and they have been providing updates to their original stories as more information has been provided by authorities.

Who cares... since he was in public school, I bet he got As in his class... like ‘AfroHistory in America’ and ‘Ghetto Math’. If he could run a 40 yard dash in 3.5 seconds or dunk an orange sphere...they don’t care..
These articles never answer the questions some of us have. What caliber gun was the dead guy using. What caliber was he shot with. What type of rounds were in the gun that killed him.
