You’re welcome. I remember for years during the Iraq war when it was the Shiite militias and Muqtada al-Sadr who was enemy #1 in the country.
The policies of aiding and abetting the Iranian takeover of Iraq is insane, but it’s what we’ve come to expect now after 6 years of this regime.
The problem was, troops should have been used to clear whatever necessary, find Saddam, set up a new gubmint, and after he was hanged, leave, or better yet, head west from Iraq and south from Afghanistan and obliterate the mullahs. Ah well.

The $700 million a month we’re sending to Iran for not agreeing to anything except to an extension to the period during which they’ll accept the $700 million a month, is the reason that Iran won’t be as harmed by the oil glut as, say, Russia. Iran’s biggest foreign market for its non-oil goods (and Iran makes stuff besides oil and sweat, unlike, say, Saudi Arabia) appears to be, surprise surprise, Iraq.
