What DISH probably doesn’t want to admit as well....that forty thousand DISH customers are quitting each week. So it’s a revolving door and they have to keep offering really good entry deals for the first year....then screw you over for the 2nd year and on.

The truth is....if we could force them into corner....most of us just want the local stations, the History Channel, TBS, Fox News, ESPN, and C-SP*N. Beyond that...it’s mostly all worthless. But they keep believing that if they throw 99-channels at you....it’ll get you ready to accept $40-to-$50 for just a plain basic package, which is way more than you need.

I had Dish from about 1998 to 2003 or so.
At one time they charged me for a very basic channel and
then for $1.00 per month per channel I paid about $15.00
a month extra only for the channels I wanted.

We finally got so tired of watching TV-the survivor shows turned me off TV altogether. My son pays for Hulu Plus and that is all we need. We get our new here.
