One of the commenters at one of the sites that featured an article on this - mostly right leaning, of course - pointed out that this is the MO of Obama, Jarrett and company. They probably knew this guy's history, they just didn't care. They are fine with someone ripping off the taxpayers since a large percentage of taxpayers are honkies.
