No, religion is not what people say about God...it’s what He says about Himself.
They’re looking for the shock effect and hype...that’s why they do it at Christmas.

It's not my fight, so I'm not giving up. I'm not a Christian or an atheist, and I don't believe in Satan. I don't think these clowns do either. They're just trying to provoke and antagonize Christians to the point they give up on public displays altogether or do something like this woman did.
Satan is not a religion, he(it)(whatever) is a part of the same religion the nativity scene represents.
How about just argue that the church who put the nativity scene up does in fact get to decide what part of their religion is put into their scene? Christmas is a time for love, forgiveness, and compassion towards each other. Like what Christ embodied, even when born according to what Christmas is based on. Not a time for putting up Satan to taunt Christians into acting hastily(albeit IMO justified), who is basically the polar opposite of Christ. It’s not Lucifermas, nor Satanmas.
If they say they are arguing logically within the boundary of the law, then argue logically within the law and use what the Bible says about Satan true nor not. Christmas is a celebration of Christ, not a celebration of Satan, therefore Satan has nothing to do with a nativity scene.
Case closed. Christ wins.
In the article it says they took it down because they didn’t want it next to the Satanist display. The state didn’t force them.
My point is why let them bother you if you are a believer?

How could Satanists be upset by this? She was enough in accord with their main tenet: ‘do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law’.
Okay. Therefore if it comes down to personal belief. It can still be argued logically.
Answer this: What is the holiday that our nation and much of the world is about to celebrate based on? IE: Christmas?
Then this: What religion is “Satan” specifically a part of?
Then this: Would you then agree, as an atheist (who the group that put Satan up claim to be), is atheism a religion?
If yes: How can it be if it is the “anti-religion” which is no belief in the nature of God(religion)?
If no: Then how can we justify allowing a group that does not believe in any God, nor supreme entity, which is a unique identifier of what we call religion, to have equal protection under religious rights? Specifically the right to practice any religion freely with no repercussions or hardships for choosing to practice it?
Either way, the conclusion any jury, or judge must come to is atheism is not a religion. It is something entirely different. Therefore not protected by laws protecting religion or religious displays. Checkmate.
Bonus: This line of inquiry ultimately leads to atheism destroying itself. To compete with the religious freedoms granted us by our great Constitution, then atheism must admit to, and worship a God.
You can of course argue it too. But Christmas is not based on atheism. It is based on the Bible, specifically Christ. Therefore why is it okay to freely practice religion, it’s okay that “atheism” (not a religious group) gains equal rights under religious laws and mock a national holiday. Which not just Americans celebrate. Tolerance and equal protection? Sure....right after you tolerate and respect our beliefs in Christ.

If the law will not protect me when I am mocked, belittled, called a bigot, and a hypocrite. Then I will not respect (nor tolerate) anyone that seeks to mock me, and anyone else that practices Christianity, or any religion peacefully!

Sounds like that would get down to a long debate on the definition of religion. Webster’s has multiple definitions including a system of belief based on faith. Since atheism requires you to believe the entire universe and everything in it, time, space, matter, energy, and the physical laws governing them all came into being in a nanosecond without any guiding power, it certainly requires faith!
Seriously though, my suggestion is that every church in town demand their own nativity scene, and completely overwhelm the atheist display.
I've been on this Earth long enough to be called Pagan/ Satanic too many times to count for being Catholic and have no doubt whatsoever that there are plenty who would ban my faith if they could.
Those who take it upon themselves to post their daily "Look at what your stupid Pope said/did today" screeds all over the internet would be thrilled to ban my faith. I wish I had a dollar for every time some nut has told e "You aren't Christian and here's why". They aren't doing it for their health. They are doing it to degrade Catholics. And plenty of them would happily vote to outlaw Catholicism.
Thankfully, it isn't up for a vote.
So, I don't think worshiping Satan is a good idea, but ban it, and it won't be the last faith banned.
