The shooter’s gun will have to be retained as evidence until any trial (doubtful) is over. Then it will be returned to the owner.

If a police officer is involved in a shooting his weapon is also taken and tagged into evidence. The officer is then issued another firearm until the trial is over.

People should feel free to ignore that nonsense from malls. It is not illegal for people with concealed carry permits to have their guns at a mall. The most they can do is ask you to leave.

I teach people to stand there ground at a thug shooting.

I know it would be very difficult for someone to have a clear train of thought if they were ever involved in a firefight. BUT; if an Obama voter was to pull out his gun and turn it sideways like a gangster, simply pull your weapon, aim, and shoot.
Holding that gun sideways is ridiculous, he is not going to hit his target. Its hard enough to hit a target while taking calm aim.
If a thug is holding a gun like that... assume a sideways stance (narrow target), take quit aim, fire.
