De Blasio spent some time in Cuba in 2004..he can take his wife, his son who he taught to fear the cops, and MOVE BACK TO CUBA..they can have him
The response to this is “the ball is in the NYPD’s court”. By this I mean their rank and file, not their official leaders. Remember that they know a lot of people who used to be ultra-violent, some of whom owe the cops favors.
I knew of one city’s PD that was oppressed by a leftist city hall, that demanded they never hit anyone, ever. So the PD reached an agreement with a local biker gang. The PD would leave the bikers alone, in exchange for which if a cop wanted some creep roughed up, he would “call a biker”. Both the cops and the bikers were very satisfied with the arrangement.
So wit peripherally involved in the deal said that, “The bikers were rather pleased with their response time.”
Or at least like 41.
I can just imagine the loyalty and sense of duty the police assigned to protecting the Commie Mayor are experiencing right now. Hmmmm, I wonder if Princess Rahm inspired his protective militia in the same way resulting in the baby princess getting mugged?

De Blasio got his orders from Sharpton, who was quoted as saying De Blasio’s request to suspend the protests was misguided. So naturally, the police weren’t allowed to arrest anyone. Don’t want to get The Reverend PO’d.
And Reverend Al has the full support of Obama and Holder. Just a matter of showing those white honkies who’s boss, that’s all.
He got the call from Sharpton that was most likely:
“Look, our talking point is that the outrage over the shkoting is rhetoric meant to curb our call for police reforms. If you tell cops to crack down on violent protestors, we made you and we will break you.”
A wimp, Sharpton’s rent boy, and a commie in office. NYC is toast.

It goes beyond De Blasio. Right now, Al Sharpton is running the NYC police department. He goes into the Police Commissioner’s office and tells him this is the way it’s going to be, and the Police Commissioner (Bratton) does it because he knows that De Blasio will back Sharpton up. And De Blasio knows that if he gets Sharpton annoyed, he’ll get a call from either Holder’s office or Valerie Jarrett.
You say this as if it is a bad thing. To water the Liberty Tree, some people are going to have to leak. I'd suggest Democrats. I judge them expendable.
War is coming. The Left is going to start it, they have been trying for years. It has always been their presumption that the police were going to stand between them and the Constitution.
It's finally dawned on the police that the Left has been using them. This makes them much less likely to discourage putting Leftists against a wall...
I've heard a rumor that the NYPD is going to start doubling up on call responses. IE, halving coverage, two cruisers instead of one, the second as safety backup for the other. (A work slowdown.)
