Indeed. But have any of them lost a parent, spouse or child to an act of terrible violence? If they had, there would be less speechifying and a whole lot more genuine respect.

A cop turns his back on the mayor = clearly a patriot.

If there really *was* a war on cops, they’d be worried.

As they demonstrated by congregating en masse, they aren’t worried.
