For the record ..... adultry is illegal. Its against God's law. That's really the one that counts.

For the record, that is a child's argument and not deserving of adult discussion in other than a "religion" forum.

For us who believe it, no demagoguing is necessary. Those that don't are absolutely and permanently impervious to arrogant dogmatism.
Totally ineffective, if not outright counterproductive.

There are secular philosophical and historical arguments much more effective in the 21st century.

If you do, then you might as well continue on to Sharia laws for this country.

Right on!
Let's leave the "Obey or burn in hell! or worse yet, die right now!" to the koranimals...

Power and money corrupt, like the ring of power in the LOTR. So, it would take a super humble George Washington to run any nation, or Moses. I’ll research Noahide commandments and I really want to read Judaic books on the rule of the Messiah.

It should not be illegal but it will remain for many of us immoral. What adultery should be is a “breech of contract”. Marriage, in the legal state enforced institution, is a contract that should have recourse for breaking it. Most states have “no fault” but reestablishing “fault” would in a fashion make adultery illegal or at least make it painful.

Any woman collecting welfare when they know who the “baby-daddy” actually is, should be charged with defrauding the government the working net taxpayer (most everyone else.)

There. Fixed it.

I annoy every female in my extended family. I insist on putting the lid down. Got in the habit when the kids were little and realized that it keeps the bathroom cleaner. I’ve also told them that if they accidentally bounce a Qtip in the toilet, they’re fishing it out, not me.

Just read what follows the Flood.

At any rate, George Washington’s concept stopped short of asking any church to oversee the new government, and the new Constitution was quite sterile of ecclesiastical references. The idea was that either the people would permit godly ideas to illumine the land through them, or else it would be left to itself. There is no constitutional basis for forcing Christian oversight... none.

In principle the state is supposed to try to recover child support from the deadbeat dad.

There may be some valid argument from the standpoint of breach of contract. However, I'm opposed to making adultery a crime.

The problem is that whenever the Church asks the government to make a sin into a crime, the government turns around and demands that the Church make treason into a sin. That's too high a price for the Church to pay.

In all honesty it actually makes far more sense to criminalize adultery than marijuana

All “Just” Law regulates morality. That is what is misunderstood about the words “Justice” system, which is a system of Laws (which have to be Just) to ONLY regulate morality so we have a “Civil” Society which can flourish and promote Trust and Unity.

As Ancients knew, Justice is the Queen of Virtue and as such-—ALL Just Law promotes “public virtue” always. Any Law-—as St. Thomas Aquinas wrote in the 13th century and which ideology was used at the Nuremberg Trials and by MLK, jr.—Any Law that ceases to be “Just”, ceases to be Law.

The Founders ALL knew that Justice only promotes “public virtue”.....anything else is unjust law and unconstitutional (Antithetical to the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God).

What has happened to our system of “Justice”—is that Oliver Wendell Holmes,jr (and the Marxists on the Supreme Ct. destroyed the term and twisted the Language (like all good Progressives) and we have a “Justice” system which now promotes Vice and inequity (favoritism and sets up systems that steal and reward sloth and evil). So, our tax money is being used to actually destroy Virtue in the masses....and condition them into servility-—slavery for safety/no risk. Children are being emasculated and denied risk and character formation and indoctrinated with Lies-—to make them easily controlled and incapable of critical thinking..

Socialism (any amt. as Solzhenitsyn stated) rots the Soul of human beings which destroys Virtue (and Christianity).. (As I stated, Justice is the Queen of Virtue)..

The Nature of Man (the ignorant masses) will always succumb to easy and lazy and injustice when they are rewarded for it and govt. promotes it, esp. when it starts in early childhood (and reinforced by Common Core (lies and distortion of Truth/God)..

Why our “Justice System” in USA was superior to other “Justice” systems is because it is based on Christian Ethics which is based on Natural Law Theory (St Thomas A.)-—the most perfect and rational system of “Justice” since Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics. With the added Theological Virtues-—Western Civilziation blossomed and created the Age of Reason and Enlightenment—and created the US Constitution.

Christianity is based on Reason and Truth (and Revelation that is the most Wise book about the Nature of Man in relationship to God)—and Marxism/Socialism is based on irrational concepts of utopia (heaven on earth) which can’t ever exist. All Marxism is a Big Lie......that is what we see coming from govt. systems and MSM today and the schools-—Lies—and distortion of Truth/God. There is no debate allowed in the public square-—it is all emotional garbage-—no understanding of the brilliant minds of Hayek, Smith, Montesquieu—etc-—no understanding of philosophy or theology just like tribal minds. We are regressing back to tribalism, Satanism, Paganism, etc.....like before Christianity and Reason (Laws of Nature) swept the pagan worlds and est. America.

Hubby and I never have any disagreement about the seat because we both don’t want a soaking wet, pissed and terrified cat crawling into the bed.

You just need to get more coordinated cats.

I've discovered that not having several planned sources of water for them is the ONLY cause of cats even going there.

We simply need a massively bigger law enforcement resource, to identify, track down and place in prison, all known adulterers, homosexuals, marijuana users, and other assorted ills.

These problems might not have grown so large, if we had simply kept prohibition in place.

Call your congressman and volunteer to pay an annual 10 percent or more, tax surcharge, to get this country properly “policed.”

My first awareness of “adultery” was when my father’s married secretary ran off with our married pastor.

Nobody really believes we can’t or shouldn’t legislate morality. What they really mean is that out of all the areas of life in which morality can be invoked, we shouldn’t pass any laws if sex is involved.

Never have seen a logical explanation about why sexual matters alone should be excused from any possibility of moral legislation.

So, Buddhism and cussing should be prosecuted and going to an approved church should be compelled?

That sounds like a member of the "other team speaking."

Only if you mean someone on the "other than the uni-party of D's and R's", then yes, I AM on the "other team". I'm tired of 'Conservatives' suggesting the left has no right to legislate immorality and make the gubmint bigger, but we have every right to legislate morality and make the gubmint bigger. Doesn't work that way.
