Once again, for the 13th year in a row, Fox News dominated the cable news industry in 2014. Lisa de Moraes of Deadline Hollywood writes:
As 2014 draws to a close, FNC celebrates its 13th consecutive year as the most-watched cable news network, though it too had its disappointments. In total day, FNC is down 4% in total viewers (1.05 million) and same percent in news demo viewers, though it finished laps ahead of its competition in both metrics.
FNC rings out the year ranked No. 4 among ad-supported basic cable networks in overall primetime audience, behind only ESPN, USA Network and TNT; it also ranks No. 4 in total. CNN and MSNBC are way back in the 20s and 30s.
Both competitors of Fox had terrible years. John Nolte writes on Breitbart:
According to Deadline, during the all-important primetime hours, CNN’s total viewers hit an all-time low. With the even more-important news demo (viewers aged 25-54) in primetime, CNN hit its second-lowest level ever. In total day viewers, CNN again collapsed to an all-time low in the news demo.
Zucker’s unspoken but obvious decision to turn CNN into a hard-left network obsessedwith race-baiting, identity politics, and heartless, mean-girl Palin-bashing mixed with Christian-bashing has backfired spectacularly.

I cannot stand any broadcast “news” anymore... Fox, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, its all garbage... other than election returns, I don’t think I turned any of these “news” programs on all year...
What news channel? Are they on dish?
Pretty much, me too.
MSNBC mulls changes? That’s easy. Fire Maddow, Matthews, Schulz, Sharpton, and the rest of the loonies, put some conservatives on the air, and watch ratings soar.
You’re correct, of course, with CNN and MSNBC being owned by crony capitalist regime affiliates. Profit is not a requirement, offering talking points to the faithful is.
How about ALL SHARPTON, ALL THE TIME ?
... Some are positing that it is CNN ..... but I suspect that it is actually either FOX or Drudge for maximum effect since they are the only different ones and thus stand out the most in the whole News Media mix.
Thats because CNN.com is seen as a “safe” online news source by people surfing from work who are cognizant that their orgs are probably tracking where they go.
I have ATT I Universe...one down from Fox News.
It does not appear to be about the ratings, they are all about the agenda.
A fifth grader would know how to improve their ratings and they ain't dooin it.
.
And without being on Dish (because both parties are greedy as hell and lying their butts off about it) - interesting...
I have watched OAN. It’s not bad. They read the news to you without a bias. Seems very neutral. There are also no ads.
“If DishTV doesnt get back Fox News soon, Im switching to Direct.”...
One of the MAIN reason for our having DishNetwork was/is FOX news, I will give Dish until the end of January to resolve their issues with FOX, if no resolution, its cancel Dish and switch to Direct. I expect Dish will be losing numerous customers in short order and realize why FOX was so popular.
Microsoft, GE, Time Warner
Among others of course, plus I believe they manage to keep their ad rates high partially as an under the table payoff from other companies that want insider political credit.
These are channels for political benefits as part of supplying the quid pro quo in the Washington corporatist game.
Apple, the “faux news” mantra of the left is failing, or people do like “faux” news.
The ignorant and dumb, will continue being “Grubered” by MSNBC and CNN, and the democrats will insist that they continue their formula for “no success”. It’s more important to the left-leaning networks to advocate for their liberal friends, than to actually try to be successful.
I’m betting there is a lot more dirt to be found at the lefty media orgs. than at Fox.
I find it very hard to believe that only 1.05 million people watch FoxNews. I find problems with some of their people, but they cater to better values than the other networks. I’m sure they’re watched in the fly-over states. Their programming reflects who they think their audience is, and that screams people living in fly-over areas. I talk to people all the time that watch FoxNews and I live in Los Angeles. Very strange...
