“Home” eggs are much better anyway.
Plus, with a couple of chickens, you don’t run nearly the amount of food waste down the drain or in the garbage/landfill.

I agree. Eggs are currently so cheap that it’s not all that cost effective to grow your own. Our main reason for doing it is that we enjoy them running around the property (they are entertaining) and they keep the bugs down, which is a big deal here.

I was looking at chicken truck plans last night. I hate chickens. Nasty dirty creatures. Raised them for HS Ag class, spit. It may be I’ll be forced to raise them again.
