Why is this in the news?? Is the government nuts? Why don’t they just paint a target on the guy...or a slice mark on his neck.
Have any of these rescue attempts actually succeeded? If not what’s going on?
“Rebels” on the ground are the source, supposedly.
US government has no control over them.
Easy answer may be is that the US has to coordinate with the locals and so I bet intel somehow “leaks” out.
This has been floating out in the ether for about 24 hrs now.
That no one is talking about it, or even denying it, plays right into the Administration’s media silencing on what US troops are doing in Iraq.
The truth would likely destroy over a decade of Democrat media Narratives on Iraq.
Why are WE rescuing a Jordanin Pilot??/ They have a fine military.
I think you’re right and that there’s a leak, because all of our attempts to free ISIS-held hostages have failed.
Of course, in this case the leak may come from the White House...or if not, at least from some source in the US and not from locals. I think our State Dept. and probably our military are infested with Muslim radicals or their sympathizers.
Is that Amy Carter???
We should be rescuing those kidnapped school girls first. Not that I do not care about the pilot. I do. But like you said, they have a military. The girls snatched — many gone since last April — are in need of international help.
Obama WAITS TOO DAMN LONG to approve the mission.
Rather that authorizing the Sec Def to execute a pre-planned mission, when the circumstances are right, Mr. Egomaniac inserts himself at every step.
Oh, did I mention that he second guesses the intel?
Noted wannabe astronomer.
No. Too attractive to be Amy.
We are fighting a well equipped, well trained, and dedicate foe.
Why did the rescue attempts in Vietnam sometimes fail?
These guys may behave like 7th century savages, but do not underestimate their brain power.
Its pretty dicey to pull off a raid...the raid on Osamas compound was the exception not the rule.
This article assumes it was the US....could have been the Jordanins....I would think they would want the lead in this type of raid.
I think most of these failed rescue attempts have been more failures of intelligence than poor execution. Sound intelligence is always the most deadly resource on the battlefield.
Syris is Jordan’s neighbor and they QUIT after losing ONE of their pilots...?
Wow.
Because US Spec ops have unique ability not available to Jordan - stealth helicopters, V 22 Osprey, etc
Probably a couple guys from Jordan (which has a well trained military) along with Delta ......
