One of my customers who makes pretty good money (he buys a new corvette every two years) had his medical insurance canceled and signed up for Obamacare...
His premiums are $665.00 a month, he is subsidized $651.00 a month...He pays $14.00 a month...!!!
Though I like the guy I'm sure hoping he gets slammed with a huge bill form the IRS...
He could afford insurance before and is simply sucking off the taxpayer now...

People that take subsidies in advance are suppose to report any change in income right away so the subsidies can be adjusted or eliminated.Correct they should do that. Someone who is staying on Ocare might even think to do that. A person getting a new job with new insurance would be unlikely to go back and ask them to adjust the past subsidy based on projected future earnings.

There are currently caps in place on how much of the subsidy one has to payback. You don't have to pay it all back unless your over 500% FPL. Here is an article how this works.

Big deal. They have to chip in a couple hundred bucks while I have to pay $6K/year for insurance that's close to worthless to me.
I guess Congress will have to get me to pay a few thousand more per year so these poor slugs don't have to be forced to pay a hundred bucks for their free healthcare.

I wonder how many owe deductibles and co-payments. I would Imagine that a doctor or hospital would not want to be the first entity that one of these patients sees.

I wonder if overpayments will be taken from AFDC money.

My wife had to see a new specialist in Louisville not too long ago. The office had state of the art software and was able to determine right there (before she saw the doctor) what her responsibility was after insurance (in our case 100% since we have a $5K deductible). You pay $98 up front or you don’t see the doctor.
The medical practitioners will have to do this or they will be screwed out of so much money by ObamaCare insured people.
And then there will be a new regulation requiring the practitioner to see OC people without payment of deductibles and co payments. Which they will then never see.

If it is not life threatening they don't have to treat you.

Has the IRS suddenly become a benevolent organization that happily ignores a tax debt? Ask Al Sharpton.

gets Ocare while their income is $0 (or just unemployment pay). This person gets the full subsidy because of their low income. Why would that person not get the automatic referral to Medicaid?

The ones that received this money are the most likely to not pay their taxes and therefore they will tie up the IRS by having the IRS chase the deadbeats all year thereby leaving we honest taxpayers alone and unfettered by the vindictive IRS.The IRS, in my opinion, won't waste time on people they know they can't get money out of. They will come after the likes of you and I.
