well the idea of replacing boehner is growing - reaching its peak at the right time - but i don’t know if this peak is enough to replace.
i will say that irrespective of the outcome, boehner is weakened pretty good. He’ll take out some petty revenge on non-believers but it will be seen as petty and unhelpful and his power will further diminish.
it may take dem abstentions or actual dem votes to elect him - which would be quite instructive - and would damage him badly.
in any event, it’s the beginning of the end of boehner no matter what happens w/ his speakership tuesday - as long as we keep up the fight.
I agree. I’m calling my Rep and telling him to vote for Louie, though my Rep is a bit of a RINO (which is the best we can do in this area), so he’ll probably stick with Boehner.
I’m also calling Gohmert’s office to let him know that I (and many others) support and are rooting for him.
“but i dont know if this peak is enough to replace.”
There was a poll last Friday. Republican voters overwhelmingly want Speaker [Bleep!] to get booted. Only 25% of republicans like him. It’s the DC beltway that has been cramming him down our throats. They might keep him around through sheer brute force, but one thing is clear: the time is right.
The democrats should be made to VOTE FIRST.
Then if any democrats vote for Boehner, Conservatives that are sitting on the fence will know the game is up and should step up to vote for Gohmert, Yoho or Blackburn (of she’s willing).
