Actually, it’s one of three states I haven’t been to.
We left almost 9 years ago from NJ.
Now in DE. Looking to move to FL in the future.
The numbers are for 2014 as a whole.
States can’t tax people for leaving.
83% were leaving because of job transfers, new job or retirement. Well over 50% were 55 or older.
NJ is definitely not a good place to retire in.
High inbound to Vermont?
We export fuel to Japan every day.
That’s just it - the locals are getting the h e l l out of there away from the fracking boom.
You are aware that Sharia Law almost passed in Florida, at least it caught people’s attention that too many from Islam are involved in the Sunshine State....
North Dakota outbound? I find that highly suspect. The oil boom isn’t over. I would guess that the throngs of people moving INTO North Dakota aren’t using moving companies so they cannot be measured.
Families making a move and hiring moving trucks are different from contract workers showing up with just their pick-up, and maybe a camping trailer.
Can’t take the cold winters any longer.
At least there I can fight the jihadis without a winter coat on. ;).
Also, no income tax.
I think the “blue” states have been trying that.
Rush is an example.
New York still tries to tax him every year.
You mean NO state income tax....but plenty of taxes. Check on real property taxes vs your state. What is Florida sales tax?
I hope you are happy there, it’s too hot for me.
The ban is on exporting unprocessed crude oil. Refined products are exported without a license.
I don't think so. I just think the people who are moving in ND aren't using moving companies. There's nothing wrong with fracking.
Yeah, no chit. And they love it out here on the coast down on the corner. d:^)
RE: NJ is definitely not a good place to retire in.
Statewide average property taxes in close to $8,000 !!
In some counties ( e.g. Bergen, Monmouth, Morris and Essex ), you’re looking at 5 figures in property taxes.
Trying living there as a retiree on a fixed income....
The bad news is a lot of those leaving are libs seeking to foul up another state with their logic. I got one who moved here from the North East. First time I heard this line: we did not do it like this where I came from I said, why not go back then. Have had spoken since.
Looking at the map, my heart weeps for Virginia. I love that beautiful state and am sorry to see it take the turns it has.
