from Brietbart:
Last week, Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large John Nolte wrote that Beck should not have made his announcement in a way that allowed the mainstream press to bash and mock conservatives. Nolte emphasized that rather than acknowledge the other side has a reasonable argument against what hes doing that is every bit as humane as his, Beck chose to puff himself up as a martyr and handed the likes of Morning Joe ready-made talking points to bash his own supporters and conservatives in general as cold-hearted and even un-Christian.Nolte noted that the truly compassionate thing to do is to ensure youre not doing anything that might encourage more parents to send their unaccompanied children on that harrowing trek. He added that it is not insane, unreasonable, or lacking in compassion to argue that news of a major American media figure greeting children at the border with toys could be used by the drug smugglers and human traffickers already exploiting these kids as a way to recruit more.
Beck should have attacked the parents of these children (most of whom were NOT children) or the governments that push out their citizens or the US for having wide-open border.
Anyone who thinks we don't have a point resenting these invaders can come and look at my son's school - where all resources are going to help "immigrant" children while programs like honors and after school sports are being cut and science labs closed to make way for English-learner labs.
Resent it? Damn right I do. My own children are not only being hurt by this, I am forced to pay for it.
He has criticized the families of these children for sending them here. He has also said that while they’re here, we should take the best care of them we can. They are our brothers and sisters, after all.
He highlighted the case of one child who was found dead in the desert with the address of some relatives in Chicago in his pocket. He remarked how terribly sad cases like that are and criticized the family for sending their child here to die like that.
Glenn has been very critical of them, their families, and the policy makers who let this happen (indeed, encouraged it.) He’s also been compassionate towards the children, who have nobody and are pretty much abandoned by their own irresponsible parents (as Beck has pointed out numerous times.) I’m one of millions who heard him say it.
