Glenn Beck on Tuesday tore into Congressman Chris Stewart (R-Utah) over his decision to vote for John Boehner as speaker of the House, saying he believes Stewart who has been his friend for years is losing his soul.
Beck asked the congressman whether it was Boehners decision to fund Obamacare, his support of the CRomnibus bill, or his decision to continually delay any action in opposing President Barack Obamas agenda that garnered his support.
Stewart said the allegations against Boehner arent true, and continued: I think in the time we have here, we cant go back and review the last two, or four, or six years of votes you may or may not agree with him on. But the bottom line is this: I think we should be celebrating today, and its discouraging to me that instead this has become such a divisive day. We had a great election in November. For the first time weve got a united front where we can oppose President Obama.
We have a united Congress, and theyre giving the green light to the president on amnesty, Beck said. Theyre giving a green light on the CRominbus thats a trillion dollars, Chris!
Beck reversed and analogized the situation, asking Stewart what he would do if he found Beck in a brothel, insisting that he wasnt doing anything wrong and was just friends with all the women.
Stewart laughed. Well, it depends, Glenn. How attractive are the young ladies in the brothel, right?
Beck shook his head. You told, us, Chris, to come down on you like a bag of bricks if we ever felt you were losing your soul. This is bag of bricks time. We think youre losing your soul.
Stewart said he appreciated Becks words, but remained firm in his decision, saying he thinks Beck may have misunderstood some of his previous stances.
I do think that there are times where, you and I agree, that youve indicated, that I havent agreed with you, Stewart said. I think youve indicated that Ive said or implied things that I certainly havent, and I never have. And I think you and I agree on far more than we disagree.
It is the game, Chris, Beck said heatedly. Youre playing the game. Stop playing the game!
You dont think we can do better, Chris? Becks co-host Stu Burguiere added. You dont think we can do better than John Boehner?
Listen, gentlemen, who do you suppose that we should support here? Stewart retorted.
All three immediately said Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert would make a far better speaker than John Boehner.
Do you know how many votes Louie Gohmert will get? Stewart said. As much as I like Louie, hes not the person to lead the house right now.
But John Boehner is? Beck said.
We can agree to disagree on that, Stewart remarked.
Beck told Stewart that people are done with the kind of games he is playing, and that he will not be re-elected if he continues playing politics against the interests of the American people.
Glenn, I disagree with you, Stewart said. I think that by 2016, when the American people see what the Republicans have been trying to do for the last years, when we now have allies in the Senate who will help us to do those things in the next two years, were going to be able to move forward on the REINS Act, on reforming Obamacare, or eliminating Obamacare
I dont believe you, Beck said flatly. Theres no evidence. Youve never done it, Chris! Its never happened!
Beck concluded by saluting Stewart for having the courage to come on the show, but reiterated that he is worried about the mans soul.
what is your solution?
aside from spewing your insane attacks on the internet
And to reward conservatives and the GOP-e, Obama defiantly declared he is looking forward to more executive actions and is goading the new congress with the intent to veto veto veto....
You know, I never though of one. Or posted it for the last 6 years Mark. I’ll get on that now.
I have been saying [posting] for years that the main difference between the Republican Party and the Democrat Party was the spelling.
Allies in the Senate??? Like John MCStain, Mc McConnel? The two Mc’s. I wish they’d resign and go work at McDonald’s.
Yeah even Mike Lee has an aire about him that seems shady since he is positive about the outcome despite the public outcry (go on any of the reps facebook pages to see the fallout and promises to dump these candidates next time etc.) about re-electing Boner.
Indeed. Thats really the truth of it.
Yes, sounds like the old, original Beck before he went crazy
I may start to listen to him again.
When Beck was on Fox he nailed virtually everything.
He was the first person I heard that suggested and correctly pointed out that both the Dems and Reps were like the left and right train tracts that are both heading LEFT.
Republicans are the blue blood country club banker faction of the Washingtonians, and Democrats the marxist faction of the Washingtonians.
It's time to stop looking to DC for solutions to the problems these degenerate sons of bitches in DC have created in the first place.
Its time to think about ways to accelerate the collapse because only then can the Republic be reset and the Franchise limited as the Founders intended.
Nothing comes from DC other than higher taxes and more restrictions on our freedoms.
Our masters in the political class remain entrenched on the Potomac and extort trillions of dollars every year from the productive class.
The working taxpayers are now all slaves to DC and the Federal apparatchiks in Maryland and Virginia.
The greatest threat to the Liberty and Prosperity of the productive class are not a bunch of demented ragheads in the middle east, but the Federal apparatus.
The Washingtonians from both parties intend to steal everything not nailed down from those outside DC and then bug out under military protection when the collapse comes and the riots start.
An electorate that elected Clinton and Obama twice and gave algore the popular vote is no different than the Venezuelans and Cubans electing Chavez and Castro; stupid and dangerous.
It's all over but the shouting for the 1st American Republic, it is predictably self destructing due to the imposition of Universal Suffrage.
Honest Ape mortally wounded the Republic when he brutally attacked and murdered the sons of the Founders, the last 150 years has been merely death rattle.
Good for Glenn! It’s about time someone did this.
What are you talking about?
i believe
you are the problem with the right
wackjob absolutists like you, paultardz and militia nutz
He didn’t support the illegal alien children coming here, but he said (with some justification) that while they’re here, we have to take care of them.
Are you sober?
Any other Levin insults from his radio show you care to mimic, wannabee?
Would be interesting what he has to say about Mia Love.
What were they supposed to do? Vote for Gohmert, that’s what. Force a second ballot. Open up the process. Stop playing go along to get along.
The RINO leaders will do a few little things around the margins, hoping that that satisfies us. Then they’ll be offended when it doesn’t.
I tend to agree. I’ve never belonged to any party, but have always been more agreeable with republicans. Now, I’m not agreeable with EITHER party. Both parties have done nothing but sell out our family every since I’ve been of working age.
I guess it would help if I was a billionaire and could write the big checks.
There are small differences around the margins, but they are heading in the same direction.
