I don't know about the rest of the fine folks that read this site regularly or even occasionally, but I for one have been visiting since the late 90's when there was a lawsuit by the LA times going on to try and shut this site down. Now I was on the internet before it was the internet, first with compuserve, then AOL and then in about 1998 DSL came out and I was the first in my neighborhood to get it. I regularly visit numerous sites with publications and some without, but I will tell you all here and now, there is no other site on the internet like this. This truly is the last bastian of freedom in the United States.
Until last year I never gave it much thought to contribute monetarily for which I am deeply sorry. So I have been trying to do my part by becoming a regular contributor of a substantial amount of desperately needed funding for this site, and am openly encouraging everyone that reads this to send anything you can to Jim Robinson of Free Republic. I will tell you why, if this site goes dark you can kiss your freedoms goodbye. There truly is no other site like Free Republic anywhere in the world, you can find more information from a lot of good people doing their part to bring these articles and opinion pieces to the masses, right here on Free Republic. There is such a wealth of knowledge here, that it is known all throughout the US and is growing everyday.
No, Jim Robinson did not put me up to this, other than a big thank you every quarter there is and has been no other correspondence between us. I am very sincere with my request, I realize the economy sucks and the President and his stooges in CONgress are doing everything in their power to bring FREEDOM to it's knees, and destroy the things that made America Great. They are mostly Statists and Marxists permeating our Government at the Federal Level, They have the full support of Hollywood which is why I have not been to a movie in over 25 years and do not watch TV except news, for the most part, and this is the ONLY SITE in the US that still believes in Real Freedom. So I just wish to Thank you sincerely Mr Robinson for this Forum. I believe it is our last hope in educating the masses. Fortunately it is becoming very well known, now more than ever we need to show our support if we are to survive as a God Fearing people that believes in Liberty and Freedom. I appreciate this forum more than I am capable of expressing in words If you cherish what little freedom you have left please help keep the lights on here.
