Jews Continue To Flee Democratic Party
Daily Caller ^ | 1/8/14 | BLAKE NEFF

Posted on 01/08/2015 12:33:16 PM PST by Impala64ssa

The exodus of Jewish Americans from the Democratic Party continued in 2014, with only 61 percent of Jews identifying with the party last year, according to a new poll released Tuesday by Gallup.

Sixty-one percent may seem high, compared to 31 percent of the general public who identify as Democrats, but that’s a 3 percent dip from 2013, and a huge drop from 2008, when 71 percent of Jews said they were Democrats.

The Democrats’ loss is the GOP’s gain. In 2014, 29 percent of Jews said they were Republicans, up 1 percent from 2013 and a 7 percent rise from 2008.

The changing attitudes of Jews don’t simply reflect shifts in the American electorate since 2008, as their shift towards Republicans and away from Democrats substantially outpaces any movements by America at large.

Those are my thoughts as well. You can take the Jews out of the democrat party, but can you take the democrat party out of the Jews? I think not. They’ll just shift the GOP even more to the left.

The Talmud stresses altruism as an important virtue for Jews. Altruism is one of the pillars of libtardism, along with collectivism, and statism. Once Jews have been convinced that altrusim is an important virtue, it is easy for them to take the next step and support statism as a way to require everyone to be altruistic.

I’ve always wondered why they were there in the first place,
When we still lived in daBronx registering as dems was as sacrosanct as Bar Mitzvahs and circumcisions. Maybe being a dem actually meant something at one time, we have nothing to fear but fear itself, the buck stops here, ask not what your country can do for you... My beloved parents switched parties around the same time Pres. Reagan did, and for the same reason, they didn't leave the party, the party left them.

“Wouldn’t it be sweet if NY flipped to Republican in the near future.”

I tend to think not, for pretty much the same reason the Dem powers-that-be chose to drop their long-term Jewish constituency in favor of its new bffs, the Muslims. Reproductive rates.

The change from D to R by many Jews, IMO, reflects the Ds change to supporting Muslims and shamelessly dumping on the Jews and Israel.

As someone who is married to a Jewish man who had been a conservative libertarian since college, and who raised conservative kids, moving to Arizona, allowed us to be with “our people.”

Just last night, at the screening of historian Dr. Larry Schweikart’s documentary “Rockin the Wall,”
Schweikart received monetary funding for the theater event from Bruce Ash, a leading Arizona’s Republican National Committeeman ( with two other local conservatives) who is Jewish, through talk host Charles Heller, also of the tribe.

We have a very popular morning talk host, Garrett Lewis, who is Jewish from New York. And we now have a Jewish and newly elected represented, Rep. Jay Lawrence (R-LD 23), who “is drafting legislation that includes a “non-citizen” designation on driver’s licenses issued to so-called DREAMers, given a pass —- along with their families —- by Barack Obama’s executive amnesty actions which enable them to avoid deportation.”

And here’s a little song a freeper wrote wrote, changing the lyrics, to reflect Republican Jews in Hollywood;)

Probably because the Bible calls the Jews the chosen people with a special covenant with God, and the rest of the world doesn't like that.

We’re even in your country clubs ...

I remember a line from a WSJ article, pre-Clinton, that went something like: "There aren't very many non Jews rushing to join B'nai B'rith (sp?)..." when discussing the country club elite.

One talk show host's father worked the hospitality circuit, and would work Winters at the Palm Beach CC. The only non-Jew member at the time was probably Joe Kennedy Sr.

I am a conservative, right wing Patriot and a Jew. I carry a gun, CCL everyday of the week even to Temple. I have been standing by myself on the right side of the line all my life. Please I can only pray a few of my brothers and sisters will wake up and stand to.

I had a conservative Jew professor teaching Intro to Western Religion.

The thing that really ticked me off was his statement about some striking workers at the PBS station that the school "ran", or was at least the holder of the broadcast license.

He said he asked them if they minded if he taught while they had their picket line up. They didn't, but he said if they did, he would respect the picket line and not teach.

Apples and oranges, IMO, that didn't have anything to do with his job, (and me fulfilling my humanities requirements...)

Undoubtedly true.

Jewish people were excluded from “polite” company and created their own country clubs with the Catholics.

The Catskills resorts were created for much the same reason — summer camps for Jewish kids because their kids couldn’t get into the “good” ones.

Boston University is another example. I think it is technically Episcopal, but it’s always been a majority (or near majority) Jewish because Harvard had reverse-affirmative-action against Jewish students.

Your embarrassment theory may have a point. As a Christian I acknowledge a supernatural battle raging on the face of the earth. People hate both Jews and Christians because they hate God, and both groups are special to God.

Impala: To our fellow Jews who have regained some sanity, I say, “Flee, Baby, Flee”!

I wish more of us had done that in the 1930’s. Maybe I would have had a European side of the family to visit, other than in the ovens of Auschwitz.

Re: “The unfortunate thing is that Asians, while not as Democratic, are following in their footsteps, for the same reasons.”

I disagree.

As recently as 1996, Asian American voters gave Bob Dole a plurality of 48%-44% over Bill Clinton.

What's happened is massive legal immigration from Asia.

Asian Indians have been the largest immigrant group from Asia for about 20 years, and they voted 90% or higher for Obama in 2004 and 2008.

I believe Chinese are the second largest Asian group in recent decades, and they vote around 75% for the Democrat Party.

The changing character of Asian immigrants also plays a role.

Asian Indians are often very well educated, but they remain overwhelmingly Leftist, like their home country.

Immigrants from the other Asian countries usually have limited education and limited skills, which makes them a prime voting target for the Democrat Party.
