PARIS -- A police officer says two hostages are being held by a gunman in a jewelry store in the southern French city of Montpellier.
The officer, who could not be named speaking about an ongoing situation, said the attacker has locked himself inside the downtown shop, with police ready to intervene outside.
He said it is unclear whether the hostage-taking is related to the massacre Wednesday in Paris at the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo that left 12 people dead.

These are French born citizens. They are smart enough to realize that suicide attacks just lower the total body count. We are now up against home bred Muslim terrorist. Civil war.
I’ve said for years that a lot of people will have to die before the pain threshold is reached. And I don’t mean a few in a jostage situation. I mean tens of thousands of western people.
None of us want that. But the fact is, the west has had 34 years plus of hardcore liberal indoctrination against the teaching of world history, self defense and for feel good kumbya worldviews.
The few of us left that refuse to lie to ourselves about it are demonized and minimized. That means the left will continue to sacrifice people by the truckload. They don’t want to fight back. Why would they fight back against the best tool for fear and power grabbing they ever had?
And that world history thing? Now you know why they remove teaching it and rewrote what they could not.

My guess is they think hostage taking may give them a chance to survive on a subconscious level. There are some law enforcement in France that are well armed. I’ve seen them in the subway making specific individuals’ lives miserable.
They’re the ones who finish what terrorists start. I don’t think they get a bonus for taking any of the terrorists alive. It’s more of a case of taking out the trash.
Workplace violence? I’m sure King Barry will find all the words BESIDES the right words in his speech on these attacks. Oh wait, they’re ‘ACTS’ and NOT Muslim or Islamic or terrorist or attacks.
