Fight Terror: 'Leave Behind Smoking Ruins & Crying Widows'(Ralph Peters on O'Reilly)
Fox News ^ | Friday, 9 January, 2015 | Staff

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters tonight gave a detailed plan to Bill O’Reilly on how he would fight terror.

“One: You accept that you are in a war. Two: You name the enemy, Islamist terrorists. Three: You get the lawyers off the battlefield […] you accept there will be collateral damage and you do not apologize for it. You do not nation build, you don’t try to hold ground. You go wherever in the world the terrorists are and you kill them, you do your best to exterminate them, and then you leave and you leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows. In in five or 10 years they reconstitute and you gotta go back, you go back and do the same thing, and you never, never, never send American troops into a war you don’t mean to win,” Peters said.

Watching “Victory at Sea” on Bluray I was amazed at being how brutally America waged WWII. We used flame throwers as antipersonnel weapons to clear underground bunkers and a-bombs on civilian populations. In other words, total war to end it as quickly as possible. And that was with democrat presidents.

Yep. Same with Italy and Japan. If we really want to stop this crap, we are going to have to put ample pain on the culture and states that foment terror attacks against us. We need to go full Martel on their asses.

Saddam Hussein was a bad man, but for some reason, such despots seem to be the only ones who can control the citizenry and have any sort of culture. We allow the university intelligentia to insist we need to get rid of Saddam Hussein, Bashir Assad, Ghadafi, Mubarek, etc. and what happens then? A bullseye on every Christian and Jewish place of worship, beheadings, crucifixions, and hunting down homosexuals and women who look sideways out of heir burkas.

LOL!
Ralph Peters will be a hero in the world of future generations long after the future United States of America collectively ask, "Barack who?"

As a public Service, I would like to add another of Col Peters' notable recent quotes to add to the keeper in this thread:

How to Deal with ISIS/ISIL/The State/The New umma :

"...reality is that the way you deal with the Islamic State (caliphate), these bloodthirsty, blood-drunken terrorists, is to kill them, keep on killing them until you kill the last one... then you kill his pet goat. THAT's how you deal with them!"

We used to say “He’s a dictator. But he’s our dictator.”

When you have mean people it takes a mean person to control them. Look at what has happened in the Phillipines since we got rid of Marcos. Muslims are taking over.

And all this time I thought it was me. (sigh)

...and it ultimately saved American lives and our way of life. The survivors of those defeated nations became recipients of our benevolence, but only AFTER we delivered them from the evil they enabled against us. Blunt force has a way to clear the decks and change minds.

I’d have a little more sympathy, ala Hirshima and Nagasaki. Drop leaflets the day before informing them that the Jihadi town they reside in will no longer exist in 24 hours. Then make it so.

And also, Col. Peters, in your own words, “Be feared... Do not be afraid to be powerful... Do not worry about alienating already-hostile populations...”

The American Heroes Channel has some great history shows on it. One of the old British WWII soldiers on a show last night said “We were good men who committed unspeakable acts of brutality because the enemy required it of us”.

I posted a news article here in late September, 2001 about the US testing some krytrons to make sure they still worked.

I have never been as happy about the "war" before that day, or since. "At last", I said to myself, "we're dusting off the big boys".

If, the day after OBL's presence at Tora Bora was confirmed, we had taken 2000 feet off those mountains with 4 W-78 warheads this war would have been over the next day.

"Peters is spot on."

Au contraire, mon ami. We must write strongly worded statements objecting in forceful language to the unacceptable nature of their behavior! We must offer support for their sovereign rights to petition in the UN for autonomy and send hard currency borrowed from the Chinese to effect a new Spring!
Sweet Home, Allahobama!

I have been saying for years that in war compassion is defined by acts that end the war as efficiently and quickly as possible. Nothing could be crueler than the piece meal half stepping measures of liberal war strategies which prolong conflict indefinitely.

And that was with democrat presidents

Sometime when you have a few hours to kill, look up FDR's executive orders issued from 12/8/41-1/7/42.

That man knew how to be a war President.

I think we need to kill the widows, too. Otherwise they’ll breed more blood thirsty muslims and raise them to hate us for what we did to their grandfathers.

It is pretty easy to be Armchair Generals, isn’t it?

I think what ALL of us are so desperately hungry for is LEADERSHIP! We’ve been adrift for way too long.
